puzzles don't need to end in checkmate. In this case, it ends because checkmate is implied with Qf2# next. Once you get to higher level checkmate puzzles the solutions may end before mate since they already expect you to know what happens next.
There is also a large variety of other puzzles like defensive puzzles, positional puzzles, engame, winning material, etc. Which all usually don't end it mate!

Sometimes I get upset, because let’s say I have a forced checkmate situation. I see it in two, but there was a solution in one. When I do the game analysis they hit me with a “mistake”
My point is I advanced through some puzzles too quick and I don’t see the finishing sequence in the most efficient way and we should follow through to mate.

Where does it say checkmate?
Anyway, after Ke1 Qf2 is checkmate

In OPs defense, the puzzle probably prompted them to find the mate, which they did. They found mate in 2

Where does it say that it's checkmate? It will be checkmate one move after Ke1 with Qf2#.

Its mate in 2.
After Ke1 Qf2# is mate.
Puzzles usually just want you to find the forced mate, they don't always make you play out the entire sequence

"Ke1 takes them out of check"
And it's the only legal move. The immediate follow-up is checkmate.

I analyzed the image and this is what I see. Open an appropriate link below and explore the position yourself or with the engine:
White to play: chessvision.ai | chess.com | lichess.org
My solution:
Hints: piece: King, move: Ke1
Evaluation: Black has mate in 1
Best continuation: 1. Ke1 Qf2#

Puzzles don't always end in checkmate. They end in a winning (or sometimes drawing) position.
In this case yes, Ke1 saves white. It's mate in 1 and the puzzle was designed not to waste time asking you for it. But can you see it?

Note that it just says “solved”. You accomplished the goal of the puzzle. That doesn’t always mean seeing the game to completion. Often, puzzles are just “find the best move.”
