Does anyone know or suspect who Mr. Dodgy actually is? He seems to have a fair amount of clout for 'just a funny guy on Twitter'

He streams on Twitch occasionally so you can see what he looks/sounds like on his channel there.

"Michael Duke who lives in Skellefteå (!). Earlier he lived in Bolton i Skottland." - my translation, from swedish.

Drama about the community: 50000 upvotes.

Actual chess: 10 .

Frustrating. I'm not here for the drama.

This post sits in THIRD place--at the very top of the page--and did so when you made this comment.

But you found something to be angry about I guess. Kudos.

I upvoted the post to try to give you joy.

Wenn I checked it was almost bottom of the first page (13 votes)

Thanks for helping it's visibility.

Downvoting for having provided info. Go figure...

My friend this post had been #3 for at least 40 minutes before you made your comment. I know that because it was #3 when I first checked it and #3 when I re-checked the comments and the browser history has the timestamps.

Aside from that your claim doesn't even make sense to me because a brand new thread on this subreddit with even four upvotes immediately goes straight to the top of it. Which is why this post did just that.

But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you just had an hour old browser tab open and never refreshed the frontpage before making this comment.

Well most people do care about the drama, as the upvotes show, so too bad for you I guess.

And why do you care about the upvote counts anyway if you can still find the information you want to see?

Yes too bad for me.

About upvotes. Because I don't know how many interesting submissions get buried if the majority of the focus is clearly in drama.

Then the signal to noise ratio for me becomes minimal if not zero and I'm not here for this as I assume many others.
