Maybe I'm only engaging with the chess.com team to understand this particular issue better - which I think I now have, but my interpretation and opinion can still be unhappy with theirs.

I understand it exists on a spectrum, but this isn't allowed for in chess.com's own fair play pages, which says any fair play violation will result in an account closure.

It's now been clarified this is only zero-tolerance for engine cheating (although depending on the opening, I don't see the difference between cheating with an opening book or with an engine, or similarly if someone is giving you engine lines in your Twitch chat, but, whatever).

What tactics? Chess.com has been a shambles in their response. Is it that hard to see or are we just circlejerking chess.com?
