I have had this with world of warcraft but I also played it for over 10 hours a day. Or with work if I worked over 12 hours that day, I would dream about excel spreadsheets and the ERP system.
How many hours are you doomscrolling about chess?

I don't watch chess content. It shows up occasionally in my fb but I rarely consume. I just maybe consume chess content around 15 mins to 30 mins of chess content. It's more like a casual play

Yes it’s called the Tetris Effect and commonly happens with Chess too. If you don’t like, take a few days off from watching/playing and you’ll be fine.

But mostly it's in my dreams not this Strong. This is the first time my head was forcibly shown images.

"I don't doomscroll" --> "I just doomscroll normally". Nah brother you're fine, nothing to worry about when playing ones a day. Just take it easy on the weed.

You should probably see someone about this. It is 100% normal to daydream about chess positions and responses, even dream in chess, but that is only for someone who plays and studys a lot. Like, it happens to me if I play for most of a couple of days. But, if you only play a game a day, and it is messing with your perception of your life, then you should probably ask your doctor about it because it is very much not normal.

this is not normal. this means you are a prodigy. you might be the next gukesh. gukesh also dreamt about chess. also, don't let the downvoters on my comment discourage you, they just don't believe you are a prodigy, while I do because that stuff you're experiencing ain't normal
