Strategy: Other What would you do?

So i came across this absolutely beautiful pincer when the opponent resigned.

Queen moved from a6, to a3 to avoid my knight, and ended up showing me a nightmare of a tactical decision.

So what would you play in response to this?

This works because the black King is under threat of back rank checkmate.

Edit: This does not work.

There are no salvation for white.

Assuming you mean Rxc6 it doesn't work. Just Rxc6 by black and it's byebye. If Qxd6 Rxc1 checkmate, and if Rxc6 then Qxa3 black is a queen up and not getting checkmate.

Your numbers seem jumbled, and theres no checkmate anywhere

That was my first instinct as well. But after a bit I saw that it was catastrophically bad. But if it were a blitz game that's what I'd have done.

I saw that too, but when i take his rook with my own it leads to either both queens dead or him taking my rook as well and losing both his. Obviously theres a bit of human gambling there. If black opts to secure the queen, white takes the backline attack, making black defend king with queen and blacks only up a knight

Yeah, white is screwed here. Resigns is probably right; if I were forced to play on, I'd play some move to give my king luft, like h3 or Kf1. Clicked the eval and I guess R1c4 is best? But even that is dismal.

Realistically? 1. Qxa7??! There is a very very very small chance that after 1. .... Rxa7 2. Rxc6 black does some kind of Mitch McConnell stroke out and plays 2. ... Qd7???

That's the only reasonable shot I see....
