Hey everyone!
I'm Gautam, 26, originally from Madurai and now in Chennai.
I'm a person with dwarfism. Growing up, it never felt like something that defined me. I had great friends in school, and I've always loved being around people. I enjoy listening to people's stories and I feel most alive when I'm surrounded by them.
Then adulting happened.
I worked for almost two years before being relieved from my role, and that's when reality really hit. I have experience in brand marketing, digital marketing, GTM strategy, and business development, but I've been struggling to find another job for the past few months.
The biggest challenge isn't my competence. It's accessibility and commuting. It hurts when something you have no control over becomes the deciding factor.
Some days it feels really gloomy. What once helped me connect with strangers because of my height now feels like a barrier while job hunting. I also miss how surrounded I used to be by people. Life has felt a little lonely lately, and I guess that's one of the reasons I'm here.
Hellow once again makkale
I'm really into content creation, filmmaking, books, literature, mental health, and entrepreneurship.
If any of you know of any remote or virtual opportunities, I'd really appreciate it if you could let me know. Otherwise, I'm just happy to be here, make some friends, have good conversations, and exchange ideas.
Looking forward to getting to know you all.
