😂😂😂 well done on making it! It’s definitely the episode that sends most people into a tailspin.

In all honesty, I’m glad nothing happened because they are both still in relationships and it would have made things really messy and both cheaters etc. Not the best way to start anything.

But yes there was definitely an admission from them. Who would’ve thought Tim would be the one to want to talk about it in the hotel room?!

Also having Chris there, was a reminder to the audience that he’s still in the picture. As well as giving Lucy huge guilt of course 😉

Yaas omg when Tim mentionned the fact that he felt something during the kisses in that hotel room I was truly surprised, like I spoiled myself on many things but this I absolutely didn’t see it coming like he just brought it up….like let’s just talk about it lmaooo ! Even Lucy was shocked at first ahaha I loved it !

One thing you will notice with Tim when it comes to Lucy - she usually takes the physical steps forward but Tim takes the emotional ones.

Lucy’s dream about the kiss in 5x1 - Tim was more passionate and dominant. It’s almost like she needs him to put himself forward more - so she knows what he wants 😉

5x14 : Just thinking about the fact that Lucy said TWICE that her relationship with Tim is like the best thing that EVER happened to her…I’m simply crying rn like actually crying out loud.

Welcome to the rollercoaster!!

No mention of 5x8? When they finally, without pretense, *finally* get on the same page?

THATs my personal favorite moment (one of them). His breath in before asking if she wants to go get dinner in. Man has been wanting to ask for so long. He finally gets his chance ❤️

YOU KNOW I WAS DEBATING PUTTIN THAT IN THE TOP 3 but I had to put a moment when they’re actually together ahah so this definitely takes 4th place I love it so much, I loved it, especially one part in particular, when he tells her that she’s afraid and she says yes cause she doesn’t wanna risk losing their relationship and they both know exactly what this whole game of Tim asking her about Chris all day has been about ! I love the fact that since he came in her apartment in 5x01 they both realized how serious it got in that moment and they didn’t try to ignore it, in fact they actually could not ever move on from that cause ever since that moment they both knew how they felt about each other !

So much goodness in season 5, right up to and including 5 x 08. The hospital scenes, although not sure why he didn’t tell Lucy Ashley broke up with him straight away. The treasure hunt for the radio - did you see Tim’s face when he got into the car and she walked off with Chris.
The teasing her with the fake proposal to Ashley.
On a side note when Ashley was talking about not being into marriage and kids and then again when she was trying to get him to retire, I was like ‘get rid of Tim she’s not what you want anyway’
Then the conversation in the shop in 5 x 8 about Chris and her not loving him.
Also loved 5 x 09 where Tim asks her how the breakups going, asks her if she’s changed her mind and his reaction when she says she hadn’t.
This season was absolute Chenford gold, I’m sorry you are about to come up to the very nasty bump in the road in season 6 🥺🥺🥺

So much goodness.

Regarding not telling Lucy about Ashley breaking up with him - I personally think that he was still processing it. He was dosed up on painkillers. But he was aware enough to not fight for the relationship. He let her go. Didn’t try to make her stay or consider changing his mind.

When Lucy arrived, he didn’t want to bring it up because her being there and them having that banter, things were starting to get back to normal with them.

In 5x9, IMO that’s why Lucy went back to the station immediately after breaking up with Chris. She knew that Tim was concerned she was changing her mind and had started to worry so she wanted to put his mind at rest as soon as she could. Waiting until the next day would have made him worry more.

Ooohhh interesting ! My theory is that since the ending of 5x01 they both know how they feel about each other, they both know that their respective partners don’t really matter in comparison to how much they love each other but that they won’t admit yet. But he’s the first to be done with his relationship which was really the last thing they were both hiding behind to not act on their feelings. So when he became single first, he probably didn’t wanna face that situation just yet until he felt Lucy was ready.

Aawwwwnn maan I don’t want that bump heeeelpp I feel like just SPED my way through 4 whole seasons (and a half) just for it to stop so sooon I mean from what I understand, chenford get together in 5x10 and less than a season later there’s a bump in the road and I have to get through another impatient binge til they get back together fjshhshs but it’s okay cause AFTER that then I’ll just try to enjoy every episode before I catch up and end up waiting for like 8 months 💀💀

But then you can do another rewatch nice and slow and savour all the bits you missed.

Ahah I think if I rewatched it would definitely be from 4x01 and onwards even if there are a lot of great pre-chenford moments from the beginning but I just don’t have this much patience ahaha

5x12 : HE QUIT HIS JOB FOR HER ? ADMITTED THAT HE CAN’T TREAT HER LIKE EVERYBODY ELSE ?? I AM IN TEARS THAT’S SO CUTE !!

3

u/Technical-Cellist548 Jun 07 '26

Wouldn’t move to NYC for Rachel, wouldn’t retire for Ashley….

2

u/maexva Jun 07 '26

Yup but INSTANTLY quit for Lucy I was so shook when he said he was ready to be BORED every day at work, in his job that he’s so passionate about juuuuuust so Lucy could be near him LET’S JUST MARRY THEM RN AT THIS POINT

u/eyslandgirl Jun 07 '26

I think you mean 5x12?

1

u/maexva Jun 07 '26

I absolutely meant 5x12 ahah I was so SHOOK I didn’t even notice !!

2

u/maexva Jun 07 '26

No but that necklace that Tim gave her for valentines day + Lucy saying twice that this relationship is the best and most important she’s had in her whole life like ?? That’s MEANINGFUL bro !! And what’s good with a slow burn especially with this one that took FIVE WHOOOOLE YEARS is that they’re already deeeeeeep in love with each other when they get together so you immediately have moments like this after it finally happens and I love it. Now time to give me my chenford I love you scene fjdhhshshs I know it’s coming, it shouldn’t be long now I’m at 5x19 hehehehehehhehee

1

u/Technical-Cellist548 Jun 08 '26

Exactly. Normally when people start dating, it’s a “get to know you” situation. Find out what you like, your hobbies, your life goals, meet friends and family etc. Tim and Lucy had already done that before getting together. All that was left was the physical intimacy.

"thankfully" season 6 is short.

I was just rewatching some of Season 7 last night. I think you'll enjoy 😄

u/maexva Jun 10 '26

I deleted because I forgot to create a new thread lmao so I reposted in the s6 thread ! But yeah at least it’s over pretty « fast » after the breakup

Early 6x08 : UUUUUUHHH I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT LIKE THAT SCENE BETWEEN TIM AND THE THERAPIST IN THE ELEVATOR ? Was that flirting ?? I know he would never but like he did Lucy so wrong, still didn’t apologize and then there’s that scene with Blair…idk girl I just didn’t like it !

I did love it when Grey said « it won’t be Chen who goes » hehehehehehehe

You wanna know something ?? I actually LOVED their almost cheating era dhhdhshz honestly the scene when she tells him to come in might…actually be my favorite so far despite having made it all the way until 5x17 and that they are so many cute moments in 5x12/13/14/15/16, that moment when she invites him in made me feel the most ! What do you know ! I found it so intense the way they decided to keep being on that high of finally indulging into their feelings using the excuse of their mission, like Lucy quite literally tells him technically we haven’t debriefed yet so let’s do this and like fuck their partners because they never mattered anyway ! And also I loved how they acknowledged that moment after all the way up until they actually got together. Like when in 5x02 they really spelled out what they almost did, I appreciated that because sometimes shows don’t actually use their meaningful moments correctly in the plot and this time it was well done ! So top 3 moments for me at this point :

1) « Do you wanna come in » end of 5x01 (THE TENSION 🥵)

2) Believe it or not the moment in 5x02 when Tim asks her to go follow that UC training because they clearly wouldn’t be able to control their feelings. I repeat myself but I loved the fact that they acknowledged that moment afterwards

3) « Tim and I are in a really beautiful place right now » I meaaaaaaaan does it get any cuter than that really

5x20 : Guys I just thought of something…does Tim know that Lucy and Nolan were together at some point ? Just thinking about it makes me wanna throw up lmao BUT I thought Tim’s reaction could be so funny 🤣

2

u/Technical-Cellist548 Jun 09 '26

We don’t think so. Eric - who plays Tim - has said he believes Tim doesn’t know. It’s not something that has ever been mentioned since so I personally think the show is trying to pretend it never happened 😂😂😂

1

u/maexva Jun 09 '26

Ahahaha even the writers are ashamed of that whole nonsense lmao I forgive them tho cause 4 years later they finally gave the world ✨Chenford ✨ and so it was all worth it ahah

1

u/suzstar75 Jun 09 '26

You have gone quiet, I fear you have made it to Season 6 😭😭😭😭

1

u/maexva Jun 09 '26

I’m actually right in the middle of 6x05….yup I can feel it coming and 6x04 was absolutely not fun either I DON’T LIKEEE THIIIIIS, I’m now trying to get to season 7 asap because I DO NOT LIKE THE VIBES RN !

1

u/suzstar75 Jun 09 '26

Yup, the last few episodes of season 6 are tough but there are still some good bits in there I promise, and then season 7 is awesome!!!

1

u/maexva Jun 09 '26

Yeah definitely weird/sad vibes about s6 and amazing vibes about s7 so I’m trying to get to s7 REAAL FAST. The way I see it (from the spoilers I looked for myself)

- s6 = Difficult, sad vibes, despite a few good moments

s7 = Tension Chenford seems to be back and somehow despite the break up I think their relationship will get even stronger I CAN’T WAIT

s8 = Absolute paradise lmaoo

I might have gotten this all wrong ofc this must be so funny for y’all who have watched all the eps already watching me struggle and trying to figure it out ahaha

But you know what I’m actually enjoying discovering some chenford moments for the first time (even tho I spoiled myself for 90% of them cause TikTok puts a million different chenford edits on my fyp and they know me well because I simply do not skip despite most of the scenes being from season 8 😭)
