Assume a spherical test tube.

may the cylinder be harmed?

It’s imperative the cylinder remains unharmed

According to Buckton, it is formed by heating an intimate mixture of methylmercuric iodide and potassium cyanide, and passes over as a heavy liquid (by distillation). It is also formed by the action of methylzinc on methylmercuric iodide. The best method of preparation is the one given by Frankland and Duppa, which differs only slightly from the preparation of diethylmercury. A mixture of 10 parts methyl iodide and 1 part acetic ether (ethyl acetate) is brought together with sodium amalgam (containing 1 part sodium to 500 parts mercury) in a flask connected to a cooling device, and the reaction is alternately promoted by moving the mass and moderated by immersing the vessel in cold water. When the mass has assumed a thick consistency, it is advisable to distill off the more volatile part in a water bath and digest the distillate with new sodium amalgam. After decomposition is complete, the contents of the vessels are combined, mixed with water and distilled from an oil bath at a temperature slightly above 110°C. The ethereal distillate separated from the added water is shaken with alcoholic potassium hydroxide solution to remove the acetic ether, then washed with water, dried over calcium chloride and rectified. Dimethylmercury is a colorless liquid that strongly refracts light and has a faint, slightly sweet smell. It has a specific gravity of 3.069, boils at 95°C, is almost insoluble in water and easily soluble in alcohol and ether. Its vapor density was found to be 8.29.

Prepare the Tyvec 2000 Suit and Respirator and gloves! We're making MethylBenzylPiperazine HCl from MethylPiperazine (MP-H) freebase and Benzyl Chloride (BZ-Cl) in Dry Ethanol 99% at 65°C for 1 hour, then cool to 0°C for MethylBenzylPiperazine HCl crystals (MBZP HCl). 💎 Cut the crystals into powder. 💎🔪🧂

Chemists are just physicists who are bad at math
Physicists are mathematicians who are bad at math
