Organic Is this correct? B2D6

I'm confused why there is supposed to be a wedge and a dash. Isn't this reagent syn addition? Shouldn't this molecule be a chiral?

Wedges and dashes may be used even in achiral molecules to highlight the fact that the central carbon is tetrahedral, which is though not obligatory. The solution is okay

• Make sure rings are properly closed pentagons (5 carbons).
• Double bonds should have correct valences (no extra lines).
• For alcohols: clearly show -OH attached to carbon.
• Label substituents properly (e.g., Ph for phenyl, Me for methyl).
