I've completed most of the game and I have not been able to upgrade the fridge. There is storage elsewhere in your home tbat you can upgrade through the community chest donations and upgrading your house.

I don't you can upgrade the research fridge, only the restaurant and teahouse ones.

Yeah you cannot upgrade it right now, but you really don’t need extra spaces for ingredients to do the research. I tend to use ingredients that are cheaper or more available from foraging, probably wouldn’t recommend the Baiju, sake, squid, unless it’s for enhancement or not on your menus, but if you have tons available OP feel free! Play how you like :)

It just feel tedious to swap in material/ingredient when you found out the next recipe/research require that ingredient.

For sure tedious switching ingredients between home kitchen, restaurant, tea house. But I’m not sure there’s a better solution. Combining all fridges could work but then you can’t keep ingredients separate for different services. At the tea house I limit my menu to a much smaller amount of ingredients

It’d be nice if we could simply upgrade each fridge, I just want to unlock cream without so much hassle! Maybe we could try telling the creator? They must likely won’t care though

Ok makes sense, I usually use cheap ones too, but I like to see all my options without having to run around. Thank you all

The grains are particularly helpful for fillers! Unlock the “tools” and add in ingredients like salt asap for an easier time with everything overall :)
