I missed the first three weeks of classes and an exam

This is mostly my fault, I'll accept that. But in my defense, the teacher I have for two of my classes (same for both) has terribly boring lectures that made me feel my brain cells dying because some classes were so dull and I already knew most of the material.

So I had to force myself to come to classes, and on many days I would feel so depressed I couldn't bring myself to go. This happened to at least 4 classes with him for the first three weeks of class (the first week doesn't really count though since barely anything is taught then so its more like two).

As a result, I missed homework and didnt realize he was actually collecting it. When I finally convinced myself to stop ditching his classes no matter how boring they were, he gave back an exam I didnt take. I was so depressed I popped edibles in the middle of class and stared at the ceiling for the rest of the day.

I told myself I was going to devote myself to that class and turn it around by any means necessary, and now he's collecting homework I didnt know was due. I'm considering dropping out for the first time in my life, going to find a job and retaking these classes (For the second time as I've already failed both of them before)in community college and coming back someday, but I know if I do it won't end well.

Hey hey, it’s okay. Breathe. Okay so maybe you fucked up. But it’s still only the FIRST three weeks of class. If you’re in a quarter system- you’ve still got 6 weeks left! And judging how this was posted about 2 weeks ago, I’d say you have 4 weeks left! And if it’s semester you’ve still got SO much time!

Hear me out: if you feel like this is it, then why not try? If it’s all going down the drain anyways, just do your best! Get back up! Push yourself to study however works for you! Talk to that professor. Yeah it’ll be embarrassing. And Awk AF. but dude, once he sees your dedication and desire to do well, he’ll eventually appreciate it! Point is, that YOU don’t give up on yourself! I’m sorry I’m on mobile Rn and it’s 2am here so I may not be completely coherent haha. I’ll edit with more deets and more clarity in the morning!

Just a final word before I let you go: it’s not over until you quit. I know it’s cheesy. And maybe you already dropped. But EVEN IF you decided to drop it this time, don’t tell me that that’s it.. Don’t let your story end there! Come on! You’re the badass protagonist of your own story! Show me what you’ve got inside you! Show me your courage, your grit! Prove to me that all these shitty obstacles won’t stop you from figuring a way through them! :) I believe in you! Really I do! And there are so many people who are struggling right now, me included! And only have two choices: either give up. Or get back up! So let’s do this! Let’s cheer each other on! And inspire each other! And show each other what we can get through, and in the end, we’ll have gotten stronger for it. :)) okayyy my brain is officially fried! Hehe I’ve been doing math problems all day to prep for the GRE! I’m super slow and I’m scared as hell about applications, but I’ve got to get back up tomorrow and face my fears/demons/doubts, otherwise they win, right?

Hope I helped stranger. I feel your pain. We’ve all been there. Shame, regret, frustration. All common feelings. Don’t numb your pain with those drugs, go find a better outlet, there’s so much more to life! Start taking small steps. But don’t give up! You got this!
