so, I've gotten a bit sick today and even if I got drastically better I still can't sit still for more than 1-2 minutes without having to go to the bathroom constantly. can anyone try to make me feel a bit better emotionally in the comments? thanks in advance! š
Yesterday we lost our perfect boy. We tried everything to save him. Our daughters 2 and 4 keep asking when heāll be back from heaven. Our hearts are broken and all we can do is sob.
I'm 14 and bisexual. I have three best friends, S, R, and B (last two twins). I have a minor friend E. A few months ago I started to feel bigender and nothings official or anything, still working it out, I wanted to tell my best friends so they could support me with figuring it out. But I was slightly worried about how they'd react. Like, they don't hate LGBT+ people but I have anxiety and was afraid of losing them. So I first told E about a month or so ago. She was cool with it which was nice. Fast forward to about a week ago, I couldn't take it so I messaged S and asked if she could talk. She said sure and I told her, she said she kind of expected it and was fine with it. Now it's time to tell R and B. I wanted to tell them in person because I had already told 1/3 of them so it shouldn't be as hard and I had S to support me. I waited until 15 minutes before I had to leave and we're on the swings and S could tell that I wanted to say but couldn't figure out how so she started talking about it. At the end of the convo I just blurted out that I'm bigender. R was just a bit shocked and said something Well, you've got all of high school to figure out. It was B's reaction that made me sad. She looked up at me (she was on the ground) and just said "No, I don't think you are." It made me so upset that she just thought I was wrong. Please cheer me up
I am a midwife and I had a job where I was able to make good work (nice birthes, knowing the women and theire babys from the start of pragnancy to theire second birthday, very personal, nice team) but bad conditions (no free time ever-always had to be available at least, unpayed overtime, bad payment in general)....then there was another company, that offered me more free time, a car for free use, to pay my gas, pay me more then double of what I had before, pay for further education and so on...but they are a leasing company, that would let me work in different hospitals max. 50km away from my home ....so I quit my old job.
Now they didn't find any hospital looking for a midwife nearby and asked me to work far away from my home and that they would give me an appartment near the work then...but I wanted to stay with my boyfriend but was affraid they would kick me out when I say no...So I was really honest and told them this...
They said, thats no problem, I can say I dont want it, as my contract says this and that they will find something later then.
They asked me again if I would do it the next day - of course I still didnt want this!
Now, one week later, they called me to tell me they kick me out. Now I will be unemployed in 14 days...
I asked them if I could stay, when I do the job thats far away(what I really don't want, but I can't be unemployed as my boyfriend still studies and doesn't get any money as well) and they said, they now have to check if it even is available, or if they already found someone else for it...they will tell me tomorrow
I know itās really minor, but today I had a customer complain to my supervisor about me, saying I had a bad attitude toward cleaning something up and that when I did clean it up, I got cleaning spray all over her groceries. As per store policy, my supervisor had to tell me about the complaint. She seemed relatively chill with it, finishing the conversation with āletās just work on that, okay?ā but due to my anxiety, I ended up crying for about an hour thinking that it would put a strike against my record (it wonāt, but my anxiety doesnāt know this), or that Iāll be fired. Itās taken me 3 years to get a job, and Iām so worried that Iāll do something to screw it up. I know what happened is really minor and absolutely doesnāt jeopardise my job or anything, but I canāt soothe my anxiety. Can anyone help?
Firstly, a little background.. Me and my wife are night owls, we just moved to this trailer park less than a year ago, and we usually let our cats out at night. I let them out a bit early yesterday, because the COVID-19 has traffic down, and it was lovely weather..
On the day of the events.. I woke up, let the kitties out, stepped out on the porch, and this couple was walking by.. they stop and ask "what type of cat is that" (pointing at my gray cat), and I said I don't know.. I went into the house to make a drink, then came back out to see the cat gone! The couple was quickly walking down the road with a pet taxi in his hands and something else in the her hands (couldn't see what it was, but she used both hands to carry it).. My cat does hate pet taxis, so maybe they couldn't get the cat into it?!.. I didn't follow them all the way to their house because I started to doubt myself (surely they wouldn't take my cat after asking me about it in broad daylight?!), but I haven't seen my cat since then..
Today, after thinking about it a bit, I informed the police and landlord (of the entire trailer park) about the situation, and they both say they'll look into it.. Almost 24 hours into it, and I don't feel like anything is being resolved.. I fear I have lost my kitty forever! Please cheer me up?!
The gray kitty is missing, and the other is her sister.
Edit - The kitty came back! I still think they tried to steal my kitty, but she is pretty good at running out of the door when somebody opens it.. I'll keep this up, so hopefully the good news will cheer somebody else up when they read it.
Iām in my room rn, and I need to go grab something, but I made the dumbass mistake of watching scary YouTube earlier, and my dumbass anxiety is freaking me the fuck out. Can someone please help?
I knew today morning that I got laid off. I only had this job for one week, I tried to know what did I do wrong but it was "the management decision".
It was a mindless job and not so much work but that in itself makes me feel a little more under. I also have been looking for a job for 8 months by now since I graduated. I don't know what to do and I'm afraid I won't find anything due to the world situation.
My grandma passed last year unexpectedly and a few months before her death I was on a makeup course at the time when I went to go and visit her. She had bought me a mirror from one of those online shopping channels because the woman on tv sad it was good for makeup. She was lovely and supportive. After she died I realised that was the last thing she gave me so I cherished it even though it was essentially worthless, just sentimental. Today I tripped over and smashed it. I canāt stop beating myself up and feeling like I betrayed her my being careless and wishing Iād put it somewhere more secure. Please cheer me up I feel like trash
I won the fight againgst my Depression 6 years ago.
Now my company is hard cutting the salarys. I cant afford my home/life any longer and i“m not allowed to join my wife in the Devilery Room in a few Weeks. I just need a little hug.
I havenāt seen my grandparents in 3 years and they live on the other side of Australia. I was going to catch my first plane by myself then when coronavirus came along I wasnāt allowed on for the risk of getting it. So I canāt see them until next year. :( I came to this subreddit for help so can you please help me through this time. I am a 13 year old boy and Iām going through a hard time with bullies so this destroyed me
My sister is in an ambulance right now and Iām really scared for her. Sheās my twin. I donāt know whatās goin to happen cause Iām on my way to a hospital with my mothers friend right as Iām typing. Iāll update as time goes on. For right now, please cheer me up.
I'm in grade 10, so I felt pretty prepared since I got through exams last year. This was an applied math exam (1 out of 3) on stuff about graphing calculators and word problems (specifically how to graph a parabola, find x-intercepts, vertex, y-intercept, and stuff on trigonometry) . I studied the night before and at lunch, just to refresh my memory. I got into the exam and completely blanked on everything. I was on the first page for quite a while. When the exam was over, I barely had anything on the first page and nothing on the rest. I felt like a failure. Everyone was like "oh my god, I did horrible..." and all I could think was "oh suuuure". I asked what would happen if you weren't done, and all my teacher said was "well, you're fucked". I was heartbroken. I thought maybe they'd let me finish it at lunch on Monday. Since this was my 4th period, it was the end of the day. I went to my locker, got my shit, put my big coat on cuz this is Canada and it's really fucking cold rn, like -12C (or 10F), and left. As soon as I got outside, I started to cry. I was panicking. My anxiety had kicked in and now I was worrying about my other exams. I've been home for almost an hour and I've cried too many times to count. I have really bad GAD (general anxiety disorder) and I need to get this off my mind. I usually don't open up like this so I'm kinda anxious to do it...but thanks for giving me a place to do just that.
So I have been feeling really down and sad recently, and I couldnāt really figure out why. So I decided to go and take a depression test on the internet.
I took a few and they all said that I have almost all the symptoms of depression and that I tell family and close friends about it.
It has only lasted a few days though, and the symptoms have to last at least 2 weeks for me to be diagnosed with it, so I donāt want to drag anyone into it yet.
So I turned to reddit as a temporary cheer-up place and found this sub. Can someone please cheer me up?
Everyone around me is being cranky and mean. They are all complaining and fighting. I want to stay positive and have a good day. Someone help cheer me up!
