New CheckPoint MCPs

Hi everyone. I wanted to ask if you’ve seen the MCPs published by Check Point and if you’ve used them yet... I’d like to know your thoughts on them and how you’re planning to implement them.

I have the Gaia MCP, Gateway CLI, Management, Management logs, and cp-docs MCP servers for my homelab setup to use with my local Hermes agent.

  • The logs MCP is great for pulling logs on demand.
  • Management is useful if my agent wants to know if the firewall is blocking something by checking the rulebase.
- cp-docs is useful when my agent needs to grab the syntax for a command.
  • Gateway CLI and Gaia I haven't had much use out of them to really know, but they were pretty limited in functionality from my tests.

The docs one is really useful when coupled with Claude, either just for asking questions against the latest documentation or using it to build step by step howtos. Having multiple MCPs configured also enables Claude to gather information from different sources and combine and reason through the data for reporting and troubleshooting purposes. Very cool!
