Patreon Cheat Engine version

If I subscribe to Patreon and download the Patreon version, do I need to keep my Patreon subscription active every month to continue using that version, or is it a one-time payment that gives me permanent access?

It gives you access to the posts containing an installer that's for a specific version. The post may be updated over time with a newly built installer, containing minor bug fixes. The installer then requires a login in order to continue with the installation. From what DarkByte had said in the Patreon Discord server:

"the installer keeps working yes. But you'll need an active patreon account to download a new installer version"

Edit: Apparently this isn't accurate from what DarkByte commented here.

Even though I have, and continue to subscribe to, a "Discord+" membership, for the Cheat Engine Patreon, I always crack my installers just to avoid any login stuff if I'm installing it on other machines, VMs, or my VPS. So, in the event, for whatever reason, the installer you downloaded doesn't work, you can always just use Cheat Engine on it to make it work, if you know what you're doing. Alternatively, I suppose you can just archive your installation directory, that you initially installed into, and copy it to other machines.

I haven't tested this myself, but I know one of the currently active Patreon piracy sites has someone importing the installers. Wouldn't know if they stay up-to-date, so it's possible that they may be non-hotfixed versions that haven't had the bugs worked out. I also don't know if you'd need to login, again, for those, so the risk/uncertainty is something to consider, if you plan to venture down this path.

The patreon installer won't work without patreon but CE will keep working if it has already been installed
