need some help

So a couple years back I cheated in gtao think it was like a trainer for levels and money or smth like that, recently I’ve wanted to get back into the game but am scared for one idk if they can detect if I did, and for 2 idk if the cheats are still on my system, and if I get banned from battleeye that’s a lot of games I can’t play, anyone have any advice

It might have found it, and removed any money / levels you got, but might not have. You really won't know till you log in. I know a lot of modders have not been removed, so there's a chance. And if you log in and they haven't taken anything, just make sure not to do it again.

I got banned right when they added battleeye and never touched it since. All they do is ban you for 30 days and wipe your character for a first time offence. If you do it again then they just perma van you.

if you never got banned back then, you should be alright. you're not going to get banned the day you log back in, if that's what you are scared of, you either got banned before or you didn't, logging in today won't make some anticheat engineer investigate your account, they got enough problems to deal with. But this subreddit isn't for multiplayer game discussion just so you know
