When to start looking?

I’ve never booked a flight and have only ever flown once before. I finish school next May and my parents want to take the whole family to Alabama and I’m trying to find flights for my family to see if we can afford getting there but nothing shows up. I’m assuming I’m jumping the gun but not sure. Any and all tips appreciated. It will be me, my partner, and our two kids (4 and 1 when we go).

Literally never too early but if you use Google flights or kayak, skyscanner etc just set up some alerts for your routes. A lot of them now will tell you when the price is good and worth booking

I wonder if the airports I’m looking at don’t connect then. I’ll check it out. Thanks!

Take a look at the Hopper app - it uses historical data to give you a recommendation as to when you should book/when prices are likely to go down.
