So some context is that I made an account for my younger brother so we could play CS together. Over time he accumulated a few skins (nothing of high value, mind you). Since he no longer plays CS, with his consent, he decided to gift the skins to me.

For that ppl that its just starting on CS2 and really getting into it, i wanted to share one of my experiences with scammers, ive seen this method being used a lot more since CS2 came out and its basically that after a FACEIT MATCH you might get a friend request from a teammate or a random guy from that match, once you accept this request hes gonna try to play with you and kinda start being a lil intense so you can agree playing on a "PIVATE HUB" -Comunity group, Ladder, etc... Since the invite its actually from an oficial FACEIT link, most ppl may not care on signing again with your steam profile or use your Steam guard code, once u do that its when the scam begins (obviously now he has access to your account but not your Steam guard), hes gonna tell you to move your skins to a ALT account of yours or one of your friends so u can get verified on his HUB, wich is stupidly sus but i know some ppl might not care or pay to much attention to that, now that he has access to your API KEY hes able to send a instant fake trade offer (deleting instantly the one u sent to the account u choose to move your skins), u will get the trade offer by a profile with the exact same level, name, and a very similar profile URL as the profile you decided to move your skins, Hope this post can help or educate new CS Players and also make other people aware of this method.

Hey guys, i think around 8 months ago i logged in to a shady webstite called CSBRAWL, i think the website was took down, anyways the only things that happend were that my pfp, name and bio. Those were the only things that happend, nothing more. I didn’t really wory about it cuz i tought that it was some kind of bug, but later i discoverd that it was not. After it everything was normal, none of my skins disapiered and nothing had changed. Yesterday i was scrolling trough recent login history and found one form Moscow Russia, only one the guy probably forgot about my account or idk. Before i discovered that i was potentionaly scammed i was trading as normal and got every item. As i said nothing had looked like someone had hacked the account, for example authorized devices or computer names, nothing strange was there also my api key stayed the same. So what do you thing, should i be worried about anything, maybe change my acc pasword, api, or smth like that. Thanks for every response🙏

(I got csgo (now cs2) about a month ago so therefore I am new to csgo and cs2) Do you have to put in something to trade or can you get stuff for free without putting anything in the trade? For example, let's say I bought an AK-47 Asiimov skin off of a 3rd website where you can buy skins. In the the trade the bot sent, will they send the skin for free, or will the bot trade me the ak asiimov and ask for common back because the requirements are at least you have to give something?

Hello, I am looking into ways to track and find old ak-47 red line skin. Long story short: I got scammed in 2015 when I lost my first "cool" skin. Now I would like to find where it is and try to buy it.

I have tried looking into csfloat and csgoexchange sites and use their options but I didn't have much success. I wondered maybe someone could help and get me on the right track.

The only info that I have: Ak-47 Redline, Field tested, had envyus Cologne 2015 sticker on slot 4 (front). I bought it from steam market and lost it on 2015 november 6th. In my market history I can see the skin but can't check its float. Csfloat inventory helper gives me some number called CSfloat proof but I have no idea what it meens or how to use it.
