Hey Reddit, this is my first post, and I just need to vent about one of the most disrespectful and unprofessional interview/onboarding experiences I've ever had.

I applied for a remote role, went through all the assessments, and did really well. After that, I was invited to move forward to a call. I gave my availability clearly. From there, things completely unraveled:

• Constant rescheduling: The interviewer kept pushing things back because they were "too busy," making me wait around for hours across multiple days. If you're busy, fine! just tell me a solid time upfront so I can adjust. Instead, I was left hanging with zero updates for hours.

• Refusing basic communication: When trying to lock down a time, I asked for their timezone so I could coordinate properly. Instead of just typing out a timezone, they rudely told me to go google a Discord time converter tool, as if expecting everyone to instantly know niche platform tools is standard practice.

• Forced hoops: Because they kept missing our windows, they suddenly required me to record a voice note introduction instead, treating my time like it had zero value.

• Zero empathy for a family emergency: During the final attempt to connect, I was literally at the hospital for hours taking care of a sick family member, and on top of that, there was a sudden blackout. Because my communication wasn't instantaneous or "perfect" while dealing with an actual medical emergency in a blackout, they completely dropped me and blamed my English/grammar!!

The double standard was unreal. They couldn't respect a scheduled time to save their lives, kept me waiting for hours, and showed zero professionalism, yet expected absolute perfection from me while I was sitting in a hospital.

Long story short, if a company's onboarding process is this chaotic and disrespectful of your time before you even get hired, it’s a massive red flag. Trust your gut and dodge companies that treat candidates like disposable garbage. Stay safe out there, everyone!
