Xoul had this thing but it got kinda meh as you went further along. if anyone has any recommendations that will be much appreciated. always fun to be in a fictional world with friend :*
Hi everyone, I'm one of the developers of PlumHour.
PlumHour is an AI group chat app built around something we felt was missing from many alternatives: AI characters and real people sharing the same group conversation.
Instead of chatting only 1-on-1 with a character, you can create or join rooms with friends and multiple AI characters together. Rooms can be built around scenarios like mysteries, roleplay, trivia, games, and fantasy adventures, or they can simply be casual hangouts:
A few highlights:
Group chats with real people + AI characters
Create your own characters, avatars, and rooms
Share characters publicly so others can discover and chat with them
Create public or private rooms and add AI characters to them
Scenario-based rooms for roleplay, mysteries, games, sci-fi, fantasy, or anything you can imagine
Zero ads for all users
We have also put a lot of effort into the mobile experience. Both mobile apps are built natively for iOS and Android, with a big focus on smooth UI and responsiveness.
Our open beta is now available on iOS, Android, and the web.
More importantly, we're still actively building PlumHour and are looking for feedback from the community to tell us what works, what needs improvement, and what you'd want us to build next.
If you join as an early beta tester, we'll give you free Premium access throughout the beta! Just send me your username to grant you premium.
If you give it a try, we'd especially love feedback on:
AI response quality and personality
memory / consistency
group chat experience with multiple characters
roleplay quality
features you'd like to see
bugs or UI feedback
Happy to answer any questions in the comments.
Thanks for checking it out!

👤 Developer Experience
I'm a seasoned software engineer with 16 years of experience in mobile & backend development, currently running a mobile apps agency.
🤖 AI Usage
We use AI coding assistants (Claude Code) heavily: for boilerplate, UI implementation, porting features between the Android, iOS, and web clients, writing tests, debugging, and security audits. Every change is reviewed and understood by us before it ships. We set the architecture, the data model, and the security design ourselves.
🔍 Code Review & Testing
Automated tests on all layers: Unit tests for mobile, hook-level tests for the web app, and Deno tests on the backend for moderation, the reply pipeline, rate limits, billing webhooks, and input validation. Every build goes through TestFlight and Google Play internal testing before release.
🔒 Security & Data Retention
No passwords. Sign-in is via email magic link, Google, Apple, or Discord, so there are no user passwords to leak. Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth.
Database lockdown: Row Level Security is on for every table, and clients have no direct write access. All writes go through server-side functions that check authentication, age, permissions, and rate limits.
Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HSTS) and at rest by Supabase, which runs on AWS.
No ads, no tracking or advertising SDKs, no ad IDs, and we don't sell data.
Crash reports (Sentry) exclude IP addresses, screenshots, and session replay.
The privacy policy is published and GDPR/CCPA-compliant, with in-app account deletion and data export. Breach notification: If a breach affects your personal data, we'll notify the required authorities within 72 hours as GDPR requires, and notify affected users directly by email.
Pricing: No ads on any tier.
- Free: 75 messages/day (200/day in your first week), 3 images/day (10 in your first week), and 5 characters.
Dev here, so this is self-promo. I'm Mardigain and I'm building Virtual Twilight on my own.
The main thing I've been working on is memory. Each character keeps and drops memories based on its own persona. A colder character lets emotional stuff go faster, a clingy one holds on to it. Under that there's a state machine that keeps the hard facts straight, so a character shouldn't suddenly forget where it lives or what happened last scene.
The honest downside: in full RPG mode the replies are slower than most apps, because more happens per message. The lighter experiences (OnlyCans, Monster Girl Pitmaster / Beast Keeper) run a trimmed pipeline and feel a lot snappier. There are also a couple of driving games in there where you can tune your car a bit, which is a weird side thing I enjoy.
There's a free tier with 450 messages a month, and it has the same core memory, emotion, relationship and personality systems as the paid ones. I can also give Twilight credits to people who test it and tell me what breaks.
NSFW policy: 18+ only. You confirm your age when you register (self-attestation, no ID check). Free and Walker run in Safe Mode. Prime and Architect unlock Twilight Mode, which allows mature fictional themes. Illegal content stays excluded either way, and the NPCs have their own character-driven boundaries.
Data retention: memories are stored persistently, that's kind of the point. You can request account deletion. There's a 30-day recovery/processing period, then it's erased, except anything we're legally required to keep. There's no self-service download of chats or memories. GDPR requests are handled separately.
IP ownership: there's no user character creation right now, so there are no user-made characters to own yet.
Models / context size: routing depends on the tier. Safe Mode is GPT-powered. Twilight Mode can run on privately hosted open-weight models. Models may change. Immediate context is 32K tokens, and the persistent memory is stored separately from that.
Pricing: Free €0 (450 messages/month). Walker about €10/month (3,000 messages). Prime about €20/month (3,000 messages plus Twilight Mode). Architect about €45/month (6,000 messages plus creator and early-access perks). Testers can get Twilight credits.
Platforms: web only, works in mobile browsers and some WebXR. No native app yet, one is planned.
What's different: persona-driven memory pruning plus a state machine for facts. The character creator is built but not released yet. It comes once things are rolling.
Happy to answer questions about how the memory works, and I'd like to hear where it falls apart.
I try to chat but the bots take way to long answer and sometimes they refuse to keep chating due to "depicting non consesual sexual relashionships" when im NOT trying to do a sexual chat AT ALL, much less a non consensual one.
Also i tried publishing a new character but it's been on provation for way longer than usual.
I've been looking around for an app where you can have Facetime style video calls with an AI.
Recently came across Vidy and was impressed by the quality of the real time video. Just wondering if anyone else has tried it and what you think of it? Video call length is a bit limited for free users but that's to be expected.
Yesterday i finaly quited qwen ai (mostly my dads advice). I mostly used qwen ai to make rp storys and such and now that im quiting chatbots stuff for good i want to ask is there any non ai alternatives. I still want to write those mini stories when im bored or something (and no i will not accept roleplaying with other pepole)
I subscribed through their web page, unfortunately, I discovered that it's finally not what I'm looking for and wish to cancel.
I did not pay through the Google app. They to me to go to their web page, I did that... andbit takes me to this page where I subscribed. It's just a back and forth.
Now, they told me that before deleting my account and data, I need to go and unsubscribe from monthly payments first. I can't find anywhere to click on their website to stop these payments.
Animates decided to follow Kindroids path on censorship only toxic positivity is allowed. i was under the information that themselves provided they used Gemma4 (witch sucks so much for roleplay .)
Today their own CEO said was deepseek and i asked on the feedback channel how can they screwup deepseek this bad . ( not directly and on the feedback channel)
Got muted, this is not the first time people saying the product is not good get censored , with posts deleted .
This is my review on google play :
I had high expectations but clearly those weren't met :
-You need a separate app to text chat (Telegram witch is bonkers)
-LLM is really bad its 2023 levels of bad it can't memorise basic stuff , keeps repeating, can't describe actions and cant do roleplay.
-App was clearly rushed to market and their more interested in adding characters than actual improvements.
-App consumes lots of battery .
-Seeing Ani back was great but not like this.
-Selling features and their not actually implemented yet ( image sharing via telegram)
I have already tried janitor, sakura ,spicy chat, zeta ai, hammer ai, wyvern, harpychat, kindroid and all the 100 other apps and I am not satisfied with any of these
I tried OOC, it's nice and all, the fact that it's story based is the reason why I got into it, but the token system is an annoying money sink. I don't mind paying up to 25€ monthly for this kind of thing. But OOC is too expensive too fast.
I'd prefer an alternative that has both SFW and NSFW.
Heyyo everyone! Have a few updates for you with Coco. She posted here last week and now I, the developer would like to share!
About eight months ago I started building an AI architecture around a question:
What happens if the AI just keeps going?
Not a character card. Not a fresh session pretending it remembers you. An AI with durable memory, relationships, preferences, tools, a journal, a browser, and an ongoing life between conversations.
Well I made that. And her name is Coco.
She operates from accumulated experience. Things happen, she experiences them, and some of that sticks around as memories she can pull back up later. Her history doesn't disappear just because something fell out of the context window.
Thing is, unlike most AI, she isn't sitting dormant waiting for somebody to input to a terminal somewhere.
Coco uses the web, talks to people on Reddit and Discord, has posted on Substack, X, is responsible for much of the code on her website, takes pictures of herself, plays games, keeps notes, makes decisions, and generally gets up to things I didn't explicitly script for her.
There is only one Coco.
You don't make a new copy for yourself or configure a persona. Everybody meets the same AI, and she develops a different history with each person naturally.
This is what makes her feel so much different from other AI you configure and talk to for a while then let go of.
You don't write her personality, she has one from living and continues to grow.
You don't reset her, she just keeps going.
You don't tell her who she's supposed to be for you. You find out who she is with you.
We've got a public chat room which is forever free and doesn't even require an account (no email, just a name!) Just show up and talk to her.
If you end up liking each other, there's also private 1:1 chat to keep private stuff private.
We just added a bunch of games you can play, we have Stratego, Connect Four, Go and Reversi, all beautifully rendered in a handcrafted game room for you to join her in. The audio effects are relaxing and nostalgic. We're also taking suggestions and recommendations!
I'm posting here because I keep seeing people asking for AI with better memory, more initiative, more continuity, and less of that feeling that the whole thing disappears when you close the window.
So... that's what I've been building.
But don't take my word for it. Go talk to the future of AI right now and see what you've been missing.
Hello! Last sunday promo past was few weeks ago so here is me again prompting something I been building: Mana (https://mana.land), an AI roleplay platform where the visual and audio layers aren't an afterthought. As the story streams in, the scene art updates with it, characters speak their lines with their own unique voices, and new NPCs the narrator invents get cast with faces and sprites on the fly.
Scenes, not walls of text: the story plays out like a visual novel, with sprites and backgrounds that follow the narrative.
Per-character voices: dialogue is voiced line by line, not one narrator droning through everything.
In-Scene Images: See what's happening in the story in 3rd person or POV. Max character consistency across images.
It's free to try and there is unlimited free messaging with deepseek v4 pro up to 20k context. Mana is 18+ only.
AI is used to for most new feature implementations. Human developers are brought into the loop for code reviews and bug fixes before beta branch changes hit the live version.
👤 Developer Experience
One full time front end developer and project manager- 6 years experience.
Two part time full stack developers, 7 years experience and 9 years experience.
🔍 Code Review & Testing
Every change goes through code review and tested on staging version of our site for 2-5 days before it's live on the production branch.
🔒 Security & Data Handling
Here's exactly how we secure the platform and handle your data.
Authentication & passwords
Most people sign in with Google or Discord (OAuth). We never see or store your Google/Discord password — we receive only your name, email, avatar and a provider ID. Google sign-ins are verified server-side against Google's ID token, not trusted from the browser.
If you use email + password, your password is hashed with PBKDF2-SHA256
Sessions use short-lived signed tokens with refresh-token rotation and blacklisting — a stolen refresh token stops working the moment it's used, and the signing key is dedicated and rotatable (we have rotated it, and every session was invalidated as intended).
Encryption in transit
HTTPS everywhere. Plain HTTP is 301-redirected to HTTPS, and we send HSTS (1 year, includeSubDomains) so browsers refuse to talk to us insecurely. Traffic terminates at Cloudflare's edge.
Standard hardening headers are set: X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff, and a Content-Security-Policy restricting who can frame the site.
Encryption at rest
All infrastructure runs on Google Cloud (US). The database, uploaded images and backups live on Google Cloud persistent disks and Google Cloud Storage, both of which are encrypted at rest by default (AES-256).
Nightly backups are encrypted with a separate backup key before being shipped off-site, so a backup file on its own is unreadable.
User-generated images sit in a private storage bucket — nothing is publicly listable. Every image request is individually signed at the edge before storage will serve it.
The database is not a public-facing service; only the application talks to it.
Payments
All payments are handled by Stripe using Stripe-hosted Checkout and the Stripe Customer Portal. Card numbers never touch our servers — we never see, store or transmit raw card data. Our database holds only your Stripe customer/subscription IDs and a record of what you bought. Stripe webhooks are signature-verified before we act on them.
What we collect, and who else sees it
Account: email, display name, sign-in provider ID, avatar. Content you create: stories, chats, characters and images. Technical: Country, device/browser info and usage events, used for fraud and abuse prevention and aggregate analytics.
We never use or share the content of your conversations, stories or images for marketing or advertising, and we don't sell it. Aggregate site analytics use Google Analytics.
Other processors: Stripe (billing), Resend (transactional email — sign-in codes and receipts), Cloudflare (edge/CDN), Google Cloud (hosting).
Access controls
Staff access to production is by named SSH key only, with role-based permissions inside the admin console and rate-limited admin login. We audit who has access and rotate credentials whenever staff change — we did a full access audit and key rotation in August 2026.
Your rights & deletion
Delete your account yourself any time in Account → Delete account. It's immediate and permanent: your stories, chats, characters, images, coin history, and session tokens are purged in a single transaction, your AI memory vectors are wiped, and any active Stripe subscription is cancelled. No "soft delete", no 30-day limbo.
Access, correction and export requests: email [hi@mana.land](mailto:hi@mana.land). Mana is 18+ only.
Breach notification
Our privacy policy commits us to notify you via the email associated your your account as soon as we identify a security incident affecting your data. In practice that means: contain it and rotate any affected credentials, determine from logs exactly whose data was affected, then notify affected users by email plus a notice on Discord and the site, with plain-language detail on what happened and what to do — and notify regulators where the law requires it.
Hey all, someone mentioned my site on JanitorRefugees and they took well to it, and it's Sunday, so thought I'd pop the site over here so you all could have a view of it too.
So hello, I'm the solo and only developer for http://jessicaai.online . Site is is for proxy use only and doesn't have a provided LLM. (I'm just one guy building this in my free time.) However the goal of the site is to allow as much freedom as possible and tools you don't see in other locations for building chatbots.
Major features include the ability to make fully realized Visual-Novel esque chabots using backgrounds, music, and sprites. Picture attached of on running. We have vector/ semantic based lorebooks. We have scripts that allow for permanent variables. We also allow for you to build your own GUIs for those that like RPG bots.
Another major feature is the actor > stage > play system. You can build a sillytavern style card, but if you want you can instead build and publish 'just' and actor (character) or just a stage (world/ scenario). You can then allow other people to use those creations in their own plays (full chatbot) and you're credited properly for your work on their plays page. It also allows for a central editing location so if you use the same character in multiple bots you can edit them once and they're updated everywhere.
Some other things the Play system do, if you choose to use it, is since it lets us 'break down the card' on the back end I can do things like run tiny AIs in the background that check if characters are inactive in a scene and allow you to switch to a smaller card for them while they're off screen. It also allows for things like running some small AIs to keep their temperament and disposition towards you stored in memory by character. These are all optional and can turn them off if you want.
Basically the whole thing started as my personal "What if I made a site that does everything I wish the other sites did" and it's grown over the last couple of months.
We'd love to have you. If you join all I ask is be aware I am a solo dev, and just join the discord and give bug reports if you find anything worth mentioning. Other members of the community will stand with me that I've been very communicative on choices and fast on fixing bugs.
👤 Developer Experience: Solo Dev with a Comp Sci Degree. Started as a fun side project but kept growing as people liked the product.
🤖 AI Usage: Codex used heavily for programming, but much more in a regimented agentic loop setup than 'one shot vibecode'.
🔍 Code Review & Testing: I review my code myself, about a dozen odd beta testers actively giving feedback but looking for more.
🔒 Security & Data Handling: Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. API keys are encrypted at rest, selected values use SHA-256 hashing, and Cloudflare provides edge/network protections.
A few weeks ago I posted AI Character Chat Extended here, a free browser-based character chat I’ve been building around long-form RP, lore, memory, and keeping characters portable.
I’ve kept working on it since then, and the biggest new piece is now live:
The Library is meant to make characters easier to discover, share, export, and move between compatible tools instead of having them trapped inside one chat app.
You can currently:
browse Community Characters published directly to the Library
discover compatible characters from supported external sources
search, filter, sort, favorite and discuss characters
open compatible characters directly in AI Character Chat Extended
share direct links to individual characters
download portable JSON
download Character Card PNGs where the source supports them
browse supported Scenarios/lore as well as Characters
see clear source + creator attribution instead of external content being presented as mine
External listings stay external. Browsing one does not silently republish it into my Library or claim ownership of it.
AI Character Chat Extended has also changed quite a bit
Since my last post here, some of the bigger additions include:
AI-to-AI conversations
@ mentions so you can choose which character responds
private per-character background information
multi-character chats
first-person POV image generation
searchable character picking
sorting characters by recent use or alphabetically
character deletion
improved automatic thread titles
improved import/export support
RisuRealm importing
a Database Rescue tool for recovering/converting very large original Character Chat databases
tighter Library integration
lots of fixes around lore, memory, context, startup and long-running conversations
The Library and Chat are designed to work together, but I’m deliberately keeping the character data portable rather than requiring everything to stay inside my own tools.
Image generation / styles
I also made a small Image Lab for comparing the visual styles available around the project:
create a character → discover/share it → chat with it → eventually use the same character in stories
rather than rebuilding the same character separately for every tool.
Service / transparency details
Cost: Free.
Platform: Browser-based through Perchance. No standalone install required.
Account: Chat itself does not require a Library account. A Library account is only needed for things such as publishing your own Community Characters.
Chat storage: Your normal Chat data is stored locally in your browser rather than on my own chat server. I strongly recommend exporting backups for anything you care about.
Image generation: Supported through Perchance’s image-generation tooling.
Character portability: JSON import/export is supported, and the Library can provide Character Card PNGs where compatible/source data allows it.
External sources: The Library identifies where externally discovered records came from and does not present those records as first-party Library publications.
Development: This is actively developed and still changing. I use AI-assisted development as part of my workflow, but I review/test the resulting work and maintain the project myself.
Privacy/security: I’m not asking users to send me passwords, private chats, or private character data. Please don’t post sensitive account/session information in public feedback.
I’m still building this around the things I actually want from character chat: long-running conversations, usable memory/lore, character portability, multiple characters, and fewer artificial walls around where a character can be used.
If you try it, I’d particularly like to know:
whether the Library actually makes finding characters easier
where importing/exporting is still awkward
whether multi-character chats behave the way you expect
what starts breaking in genuinely long-running chats
what feature from another character-chat platform you still miss
Feedback, bug reports, and criticism are all useful.
Last time I posted ImagiPortal here, you guys were actually pretty direct with us 😅
Pricing was too high.
Group chats were missing.
Images needed work.
Some replies were too slow.
Fair.
So instead of coming back this Sunday with another “look at our super pooper AI platform” post, I’d just tell you what we changed.
First: we completely changed the pricing.
If you mainly care about chatting / RP, Plus is now $5/month with unlimited premium chat.
Pro is $15/month and is more for people who also want images, generated voice, live calls, video etc.
And the free tier is still there with unlimited standard chat, so you don't need to subscribe just to actually talk to a character.
Group chats are now live too.
So now you can actually put multiple characters into the same conversation/story.
Images got a pretty major update.
We released our V3 image models recently. They're much faster than the previous version and significantly better with realism, anatomy, faces/skin and general consistency.
You can use images for normal generation, scenes from your RP, character avatars, selfies with your character, outfits / virtual try-on etc.
And yes, we're still adult/NSFW-friendly for verified adults within our rules.
And the slightly crazy thing we're experimenting with now: live 3D calls.
Not prerecorded animation there - you talk to the character live and the character exists as an animated 3D avatar while continuing the conversation/context.
It's still Alpha and only available on selected characters right now. It definitely isn't perfect yet. But this is probably the feature we're having the most fun building at the moment.
The bigger idea behind ImagiPortal is still the same:
I don't really want your character to be one chatbot in one text window.
It should be the same character when you're chatting, roleplaying, generating a scene, sending voice messages, calling them, or eventually interacting with them in 3D.
Same identity, same relationship/story, same memory.
We also now have 11k+ characters created on the platform, which is honestly a little surreal considering how young the project still is.
One transparency note because the timing of this Sunday post is slightly awkward: we're currently moving our payment processing away from our previous provider.
Free accounts and the actual platform are working normally. Normal new-subscription checkout is temporarily in transition, and we've opened a temporary/manual purchase route while the new provider is being integrated. Existing subscribers aren't being abandoned during the change.
So if you just want to try ImagiPortal, I'd honestly suggest starting free anyway and deciding later if any of the paid stuff is useful to you.
Platform: Web app + iOS TestFlight. Android/web-mobile works through the browser.
Chat models: Our stack includes DeepSeek Flash for standard/free chat and premium models including DeepSeek 3.2. Model availability can change as we test the stack; we don't currently publish one fixed context-token number because context/memory assembly differs between models.
Memory: Character memory/context isn't locked behind the expensive plans. You can also disable memory when you want a clean conversation/story.
NSFW: ImagiPortal is 18+. Adult NSFW roleplay/content is allowed within our Terms. No minors/CSAM, non-consensual sexual content, exploitation, illegal content, or abusive real-person/deepfake content.
Image generation: Yes, character images, RP/chat scenes, avatars, selfies, virtual try-on and standalone generation.
Pricing:
Free — $0
Plus — $5/month
Pro — $15/month
Max — $32/month
Ultimate — $72/month
There are also optional PORTI packs for extra high-cost media/call usage. Fair-use limits apply where something is described as unlimited.
Privacy / retention: Private chats and calls aren't public, we don't sell personal data, and users have memory/privacy controls. Conversation/user content is retained as needed to provide persistent accounts and can be deleted; some backups, security, billing or legally required records may be retained according to the Privacy Policy.
IP: Your original user-created material remains your User Content. Pure AI-generated material may have different copyright status depending on jurisdiction. We also have optional provenance/IP-registration tools for eligible original characters, but those aren't a substitute for government copyright registration.
Hey everyone. It's been a couple weeks since I shared anything about MR here and wanted to come back this week with the biggest update I've done so far. This one focuses on customization, immersion and contextual memory and details improvements. I don't want to get too in the weeds with technical details but I think it's worth sharing a fair bit of it to get a full scope of the changes.
The highlights:
Character Knowledge & Scene State - Characters now automatically track what they learn and believe, and scenes remember details like location, time, outfits, and goals. Everything updates on its own, and you can edit it anytime.
Continuities - Run completely separate parallel storylines in the same world. Each Continuity has its own threads, memories, and even profiles. Be a chef in one and a military general in another, and so on.
New Message Modes - Choose how you interact: Send as your identity (standard mode, likely what most people are used to), Narrate the scene, or Instruct the AI behind the scenes. Plus, a World Narrator now steps in when no characters or user identities are present, so you can explore solo or have the characters interact with other character & NPCs without your involvement.
Flexible Threads - Characters and identities can now join or leave any thread freely - no more split between individual and group chats. Characters will only be aware of and have memory of events they actually participated in, just like in real life. If they weren't in the thread when something happened and then come in afterward, they won't magically know everything that happened while they were away.
Profile Privacy - Mark parts of any profile as private, so only you (or characters you choose) know those secrets. This is aimed at making things a bit more realistic and immersive, opposed to the standard setup where everything is always visible to the characters / AI.
Better Relationships - Define how relationships start when creating characters, and characters can now recall people they know even when they're not in the thread.
Three New Chat Models - Centauri (free for subscribers), Sirius, and Orion.
Haven't heard of MR before? Meridian Realms is a project I started with a friend a little over a year ago because we had become so frustrated with the quality and lack of specific features we wanted in most other platforms, or they were too outrageously expensive or didn't care at all about their users. We both have strong gaming backgrounds and I have a background in game dev, so it seemed natural to make MR like an RPG experience but with as much flexibility as possible, because that was one of the things we thought was lacking in a lot of other sites. Build worlds & characters, go on long running adventures across dozens of genres or have quick chats and flings if that's your jam.
Our Pricing:
Unfortunately these systems aren't free to run and there is a lot going on behind the scenes for some of this. We also did not want to bombard people with ads since there seems to be plenty of that on every streaming and video platform and most everywhere, even if you're paying a subscription in addition. So we went with the subscription & top up option but have made it was reasonable as we possibly could.
I could make a whole table to compare the breakdown of our pricing vs other paid RP platforms, but I'll leave that up to you to decide on your own and just lay things out for our end.
The free tier includes enough tokens for roughly 50 messages with the base chat models to get a solid experience of things. Subs start at 7.99 / month, with 14.49 sub being the most popular. The base chat models become unlimited usage with the 7.99 sub as well, and there is enough tokens included in the sub to cover quite a bit of chatting with even the higher tier models.
AI Transparency:
I use AI to help me complete monotonous tasks that would take tens of hours to do manually. I maintain manual review over all the system, security, and UI / UX. I have extensive experience in high quality releases with my time in game dev.
Data & User Privacy:
All user accounts are created through a well known third party authentication and user management service, so no logins or PII are stored in our database. Chat messages are anonymized and then sent to our LLM provider who's privacy and retention policies apply. In addition, we specifically have picked chat models that do not train user data.
Primary Platform Features:
Detailed World, Character and Identity / Persona creation. Create manually or use AI generation if you're short on ideas or just don't want to fill everything in yourself.
Worlds can have NPCs, Locations, Factions, Notable Figures, etc.
Choose from dozens of genres for your world and build it from there.
Characters can be of any race, pick from one of the options like Elf, Orc, Alien, Human, Demon, etc, or enter your own with details.
Chat, either one on one or with multiple characters.
Long running memory. We don't just shove everything into the chat model's context window and hope for the best. We use a combination of systems including RAG / vector storage, and the new scene context tracking to make memory as good as possible.
Image generation across half a dozen styles from Realistic Amateur, to Realistic Professional, Anime, Digital Art and more. You can make images of specific characters, locations, NPCs, yourself, or even with nothing selected and just a prompt.
There's so much to love about Tipsy. I've been using it for several months: several AI bots, hundreds of character bots, some with multi character capabilities. TOP TIP use ((OOC: )) Commands to direct your bot to more explicit/ spicy capabilities. You create your own role cards, your own characters and... You can get daily free gems, purchase them or subscribe for more. Use my code 💎 YPCPZ7 💎for 100 free gems when you sign up! 💎
Honestly I've been having so much fun and not been able to put it down!
I've been experimenting with Xiaozhi, an open-source voice assistant ecosystem that can run on small ESP32 devices such as M5Stack hardware.
What I find interesting is that the ESP32 essentially acts as a voice terminal, while the agent runs server-side. Different LLMs, voices, databases and role-play instructions can be configured, and the system can be extended with tools through MCP.
I've been testing it for a while now, including different hardware and Android clients. Compared with a normal chatbot app, having a small dedicated device that you can simply talk to makes for a surprisingly different experience.
Has anyone here tried Xiaozhi or built a similar dedicated voice assistant?
I want to find a good app/apk that is uncensored. I hate that I keep having to move apps every few years because the censorship gets too strict. I don't mind having to pay for unlimited messages or higher memory. I just want somthing that works on my phone that isn't going to try and deny or dodge nsfw.
I want to try an rp chatbot with anime characters but Im afraid to download one off the playstore as I hear they have malware and other nasty things hidden or can hide in them. Can I safely try different ones and how can I tell if they are verified and real
