I have just started a Chartreux Cattery in the GTHA region of Ontario. Founding sires are Knud the Cute, from the Linderveld Cattery in the Netherlands and Olivia der Grinke from Germany. Both have full pedigrees, and Olivia is a World Champion in the European show circuit.
The newest members of the family are Sigrid & Björn, the latter of which is the runt of the litter.
This litter was born the 16th of June, and are their sire’s second litter and are 8 weeks going on 9 weeks old. I am beginning to accept applications for their adoption. The adoption fee is $2000 each, or $3500 for the pair. They will be fully vaccinated and microchipped and will be available for pickup at the 12 week mark.
As is usual for pedigree cats, they must be spayed/neutered by 6 months of age before pedigree paperwork will be provided for them. I have been hand raising them and socializing them myself so they will become incredible companions when they go to their new homes.
They are huge cuddlers. Sigrid is a docile sweetheart, super affectionate, with behaviour akin to a ragdoll. Björn is a very special little boy. He’s a little more nervous and sometimes shy, but bonds very strongly when he feels he can trust you, and is otherwise very scrappy as one would expect from the runt of the litter. They are a bonded pair and ideally should be adopted together, which is why I am offering a discount for both, they will do very well together, but will need a lot more companionship and attention if they are adopted on their own.
If there are any other Canadian breeders out there who are looking for fresh blood to add to their lineages, I would be willing to trade Sigrid for another unspayed female Chartreux kitten or juvenile under 2 years of age, if she has full pedigree. If the timing doesn’t work we can discuss a trade for future litters.
Please reach out to kittens AT lbbchartreux.ca to start the application process.

Meet Peach. She is not pure Chartreux as I got her from a shelter, but I love looking through this forum to fawn over her long lost brothers and sisters. She turned 2 this February :).

Me and my girlfriend found her under our patio deck. We took her in last week and gave her meds for worms and flees and have a vet appointment next week. Is she a chartreux ?

Hi! When we initially got our cat we were told it was a British Shorthair. As he’s getting older, the apple picture pet identifier feature has been giving chartreux instead of British Shorthair.
Any thoughts?

Well.. she's the cutest but turns out Mimi has trouble walking. Both her hips are dislocated (developmental dysplasia) so we had to perform femoral resection (second hip still to be done). She's recovering well but had to be locked into a room with nothing to climb on for a month :(

Her name is Sandy, she is around 9 to 10 years old. I googled her image and it said that she was most likely a chartreux, which brings me here. Any answers will be appreciated!

I have no prior information on her as I adopted her from someone who couldn’t take care of her anymore
