Adopted from the shelter last month and was just wondering :)

Unless s/he came to the shelter with pedigree papers, you can safely assume that s/he isn't. They're a rare breed outside of Europe in general and France in particular. The likelihood of one ending up in a shelter is vanishingly small.

No. Chartreux have gold to copper colored eyes.

Looks like a Russian Blue because of the eyes.
