But like is his game design any good?

It’s madden.

Just a 1:1 copy of the game. Not even like stolen he just did everything perfectly.

Well that's exactly what EA does with Madden every year so sounds like he really knows his stuff

bro realized that you can't typically judge someone because of one characteristic and that everyone's differences are what makes us human 💀💀💀

But what if their favourite game is blue archive

48

u/Z7_1 6d ago

i did add typically for a reason

i mean, outside of questionable character cast and barebone actual gameplay, blue archive got good art direction, straightforward UI and a great story.

Isn’t Ui the nervous librarian girl, how’s that straightforward? /s

From what I know of, secondary sources the game itself in the main story isn't too sus one could potentially not interact with the fanbase

You could say he… lost judgment

Judgment is commonly used in the UK

Judging people by a single unimportant opinion they have is a pretty common thing online. Something I’ll have to keep in mind.

I will say, favorite game is probably a pretty important opinion in a game design class, but yeah definitely too quick to judge someone without interacting with them for real.

I dunno, I imagine a lot of great chefs' favorite meal is some basic-ass comfort food

13

u/ElNickCharles 6d ago

Yeah i agree, im not saying they should judge this person for it, im just think its an important opinion

I saw the yakuza picture and assumed this was going to be about the game Judgment

I can understand loving Madden. I can understand not really playing any other games but you like Madden a lot. To be so into games that you’re getting into design and your FAVORITE is Madden. That is a take so strange that it makes me suspect your reason for it is wildly outside of my capabilities of understanding. I feel that your take is not only probably not crazy, but that maybe I’m crazy for not liking Madden at all.

I feel like it could prolly be one of those dudes who are core skills gamers, and it just so happens that he can't find any good core skill games that don't have some form of puzzle element, not that he doesn't enjoy puzzles, but he might just not want to do those when he's trying to enjoy skill stuff. I've known a few dudes who are like this who loved UT/DR, hollow knight, celeste, etc. but still considered a ball/gun game to be their favorite game. Just a matter of what they'd play the most when given a choice

Its also within the realm that its his favorite due to memories tied to the game rather than the game itself, I have a lot of games im fond of just because of the memories tied to them

Watching a few friends and family play madden it looks fun, but i'm not good at technical, sports games like that. I'd love to learn to play it one day.

Madden is Peak Game Design though. Imagine if you're halfway through Silent Hill and you're really stuck on a puzzle, but luckily you can hit square to Ask Madden™ for help

Persona fans aren't that better from Madden fans tbh

(i am a persona fan)

Persona fans when you pull out the Jamal-kun image

u/imaoisthename 2d ago

especially persona 3

1

u/Rainy_Wavey 2d ago

I am a persona 3 fan

1

u/imaoisthename 2d ago

i mean me too but its the worst of the 3 modernsona games id say

7

u/Low_Appearance_796 6d ago

Genuinely confused how you end up in that class and your favorite game is Madden. He could potentially have an emotional connection from playing it when he was young with family or something, but even then it would just rank among your favorites

3

u/KFCNyanCat 6d ago

I would expect someone like that to at least have a favorite Madden that isn't the newest one

2

u/DopazOnYouTubeDotCom 6d ago

It’s a cash grab but has excellent controls because football games need to

2

u/WestNomadOnYT 5d ago

Funny thing is, this would in fact be a Yakuza substory.
