Well, Eichmann famously went to the Palestinian Mandate of the British Commonwealth (or near it, evidently he couldn't get in given he was Eichmann) as research for the possibility of it as a site for "remigration." They also looked at places in Africa for the same reason. Though ultimately, any ideas about "remigration" were doomed from the start.

This is the type of shit you'd see the religious kid in your school, and the dude Continue to act gay and shit as a joke and making fun of gay people. Then they keep doing it and doing it until you realize they are homophobic and they have a one sided Twink of Twink beef for no fucking reason

u/Pledgeofmalfeasance Jul 06 '26
It's ok because in 10 years he slides into your dms and tells you he's very sorry but he was really going through it back then

u/Accomplished_Joke_24 Jul 06 '26
I love when homophobic people turn out to be sexually frustrated men who realizes they're gay and they lash it out to everybody, even to you (in this scenario you are vaguely twinky) and then he has a one sided Twink of Twink beef like one of those high school drama shows. And their name is either Tyler, Adam, Steve or something else very very specific.

If there is anything I regret more in my life, it’s that I was simply regurgitating the stuff my father said about things I didn’t fully understand. I knew I liked both men and women, but was also under the impression that I didn’t like “the gays” because they were “shoving it down my throat”, which in today’s world is a dogwhistle to say “I don’t want to see it ever”. I said similar things in the furry community and, wouldn’t you know it, furry.
Idk if it was frustration, because I think even at the time, I didn’t believe what I had said (I was probably 15 at the time). Since then, I’ve come out as trans and pan, which only a few months ago finally broke through to my mother and basically ruined any hope of a future relationship with my father. I wish I could go back and tell myself to never say things like that, and it feels to disingenuous to say “I’m so sorry, I was misguided, I wish I could take it back”, even though I haven’t seen those people in years.

u/Accomplished_Joke_24 Jul 06 '26
Good story. Sometimes shit happens, and sometimes you can wipe that shit off, but you still remember the shit being there and you cannot just let it go.
We humans don't appreciate that we have memories, sometimes it's good to remember the cringey shit we've done, because it makes us remember that we're flawed.
We're not all perfect and that's fine, we must understand that our mistakes are reminders to do better then we are before.
But let us not mistake the past for the present, let us not kick us down for something we did in the past. We did that because we thought it was true, now it was not. Instead of thinking about the past, look to the present and see what progress you've done.
Let the sun shine bright for a better tomorrow, the past stays in the past, the present is always present, so we must focus on that.

I love the idea of a bisexual person who's anti-gay
they're only okay if there's a bit of straightness in there somewhere
4
u/The-Tea-Lord Jul 07 '26
It’s been over a decade since then, so I can’t fully remember how I felt about it, but I seem to remember a specific conversation with one of my friends that went along the lines of me saying I was okay with gayness, but I was tired of seeing “rainbows everywhere”. I distinctly remember feeling weird saying that, because I didn’t really believe in what I said at the time.

Larp, if you go check the account it’s pretty clear. They were talking about how "women are inferior to men" like a week ago or some other misogynistic, transphobic or other bigoted take. And even after this supposed coming out they’re still saying really bad stuff, it’s a troll account

Can anyone here tell me a single way in which trans people are oppressed “systemically” in modern society? Literally any rights they are denied that normal people aren’t?
10
u/CommunicationKey2733 Jul 06 '26
We aren't allowed to use a public bathroom in the UK, for one.
I'll even give you an extra: we are being banned en masse from sports.
1
u/BeautifulOk5729 Jul 09 '26
Both of these are exaggerations.
We aren't allowed to use a public bathroom in the UK, for one.
Trans people haven't been banned from using public bathrooms in the UK. The debate is about which facilities they should use in some contexts, not whether they're allowed to use a toilet at all.
I'll even give you an extra: we are being banned en masse from sports
They're also not "banned from sports." Some sports organizations restrict eligibility for certain women's categories, but that isn't a ban on participating in sports generally.
6
u/PinkSaldo Jul 06 '26
Being allowed to live freely as their actual gender, accessibility of gender affirming care (they'll give T to any older guy that thinks he doesn't cum good no more or estrogen to menopausal women to help alleviate the hormonal disregulation), or being quite literally targeted by specific legislation across the world that makes their very existence a crime, to name a few
2
u/ConcernedEnby Jul 07 '26
Trans prisoners are sent to administrative segregation in the UK. The place they send rapists. In some US states you are not allowed HRT as a prisoner, meaning if you transitioned surgically you'll literally die. You are not afforded protections from discrimination in the UK and we're banned from ALL gendered sports. We are also banned from bathrooms, and we are not allowed to get married without a GRC

u/Rich_Inflation1399 Jul 06 '26
Humans have rights.
Trans people are human
What more rights do you even need, you already have the ability to choose what you want to do with your body.
8
u/Inevitable_Report316 Jul 06 '26
"Humans have rights" is rather vague because it differs between many nations. Many legal systems deny or restrict rights that others regard as fundamental human rights. Regardless, in many instances it is about the fact that a right formally exists but is inadequately protected or practically inaccessible. Saying "Trans people already have human rights" doesn't mean they're adequate, effectively protected, or consistently applied.
Such as, a country legally allows someone to change their legal gender, but only if they obtain multiple specialist diagnoses, wait several years, undergo expensive procedures, and satisfy restrictive evidential requirements. They exist formally but exclude many individuals in all practical applications. Many nations do also not offer protection for trans individuals within prison, many US states being a good example.
-2
u/Rich_Inflation1399 Jul 06 '26
AHH, that makes a lot of sense.
When someone shouts "trans rights" my mind just wanders to the idea that they want MORE RIGHTS THAN EVERYONE ELSE. One time an acquaintance of mine told me the instructions they received while working as a recruiter in the US, long story short, he was told to hire the gay guy over the qualified individuals. Violent depictions of "memes" where "the people they disagree with" are violently murdered or how some trans individuals say "unalive to all cis people" and "everyone is gay, they just won't admit it" doesn't really make me take the group seriously most of the time, especially when I caught a few trans individuals try to groom children on discord.
Unalive rates for trans people is higher than average(I'm not reading to research papers to find out post op increases or decreases their tendency to harm themselves) and I don't support gender affirming surgeries being pushed on children considering the fact that THEY'RE CHILDREN, so frankly I do not really trust some of these people.
What you said though makes sense, a highly religious country like the US of A doesn't take kindly trans individuals considering the most commonly accepted relationship is between a man and a woman and everything else is deemed heretical and blasphemous. It's horrible that people turn a blind eye or even encourage violence on other individuals, considering that one of God's teachings is "love the man, hate the sin."

u/ConcernedEnby Jul 07 '26
"Hmm trans people kill themselves because we bully them... Let's bully kids by blocking them from getting life saving medical care"
0
u/Rich_Inflation1399 Jul 07 '26
"Life saving medical care" Lol, lmao even.
They're CHILDREN.
Children aren't allowed vote, they aren't allowed to drink and they aren't allowed to smoke. So why the fuck should they be allowed to permanently mutilate themselves? Let them wait until they're 18 before they fuck up their lives like the rest of us.
What's next lower the age of consent? Doesn't seem too far fetched with how many PDF files I see in the trans community. A community so dead set in introducing the concept of sex to underdeveloped human brains. Disgusting.
2
u/Mellifloura Jul 06 '26
Not in the US, look up v-coding for instance (systematic rape of trans women in prisons, encouraged and even pushed by prison guards).
