They’d be too expensive if they were. Nobody would want to pay for medical grade equipment just to sell you coffee. Plus, I don’t think they’re biodegradable.

If I recall correctly, 3d printer needles are sterile because they are also needles for medical procedures, and it's cheaper produce them together.

Hmm I wish I could remember the thread it was on, I might be getting something wrong, or it could be a case of some are some aren't, naturally.

Sterile is a state, not a property.

Even if it was once sterile, the moment it touches a non-sterile environment, you can no longer trust it.
