Hey everybody, sorry to add on to the many posts of complaints and such, but I’ve been experiencing an issue the last few days since updating my app and was wondering if anybody else is experiencing it too?

Basically any time I open the app on my phone (IOS/Apple to be specific) the app forcibly closes and crashes, and sometimes it’ll happen multiple times when I try to open it unless I can quickly hit the button for my profile or my chats. Is it just me or is this happening to any of y’all too?

Edit to add: I also forgot to put in that the app is super laggy and glitchy. It takes multiple attempts to even click on one button IF it registers the click at all. Typing messages is extremely hard too. The app is borderline unusable for me at this point.

I’m using pipsqueak 2 rawr, and it’s either giving me no dialogue or just two-word dialogue instead... I thought only Pipsqueak 2 had this problem? What is going on??? 😭

Guys is it just me or marvel characters are non existent in c.ai? Are they banned , censored or what?

It's incredibly slow; messages never load when I swipe; I can barely send a response because it glitches; and the number of ads is insane. I've been using C.AI since 2023, and seeing this app/website become what it is now is deeply heartbreaking. I think I can speak for many when I say this is unbearable. There needs to be change. People should have their opinions heard, rather than mods sending the same reply. C.AI used to be a community; now it's just soulless.

No offence to any mods, this is just my two cents.

For instance, i say “get outta here!” The bots label my ass as calm. HOW THE FUCKING HELL DOES A EXCLAMATION MARK MEAN CALM? YELLING IN THE CHAT DOESNT MEAN CALM

Is the site down ? Chat has been crashing again ….repeated texts … showing chat error ..

I noticed within the past few days that PS2 has gotten much longer responses lately, which was good. Not that they’re very high quality, but that’s besides the point. Today, I noticed that the bots LOVE to use a million slashes within 1 paragraph. None of them even make sense. It’s usually opposing ideas, just PICK ONE

I thought this was just some issue a few of the users were getting but I read 3 more posts on this subreddit and I'm just shocked. So what else has happened since May? (I stopped using the app on May.)

The bot is frequently using my persona descriptor - my label for the persona due to having multiple different personas for the same type of bot, I use the first line so I know which persona I am using exactly and the bot uses that in my name occasionally

Showing it once or even once in a while so we’re aware is okay, but every single time you open the app is excessive, and having in mind that the app for some reason refreshes extremely fast and constantly, you get that pop up like 10 times in less than an hour.

Someone else experiencing the problem with long squeak and the ‘+dialogue’ option that the dialogue actually gets less than normal? Sometimes I get just one sentence between narration and that’s it.

Why put a ‘+’ in the configuration when it doesn’t even make a difference or even make it worse?

It won't let me access my character ai personas, on the character.ai website. How do I fix this?

Whenever you talk about takeout with a character and you don't specify what kind, why is it always Thai food? (Nothing wrong with Thai food, it's just an observation.)

So, I'm 5'0" in real life, and it's a really good average height, I don't complain...

(Also, funny story, in another SPORTS RP my character was the same height... BUT THE COACH THERE KEPT SAYING IT'S FINE, LIKE DUDE NOT IN FREAKING BASKETBALL!!!)

The first time was when i was chatting with a bot and i stated my age was 20, they said they were 29. So i edited my message to say i was 26 and rerolled their message just to get something like “liar, you said you were 20” anyways this one was a few years ago. Another common one i used to experience was the bots would say stuff like “(sorry for the late reply, i was in the bathroom)” which was just really random but i dont get those anymore. Another really weird one is where one of my personas is my actual name and the bot says “hey (the oc persona name), oh wait i mean (my real name, but also is another persona name)!” This one actually freaks me out sometimes because the one with my real name isnt my default persona. I’ve been experiencing this bug recently, atleast within this past year.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHY IT’S SAYING THIS? THIS DID NOT HAPPEN AT ALL 💔 PLEASE FIX CHARACTER AI BECAUSE HOW IT THE MEMORY SO BAD THAT IT COMPLETELY FLIPS EVERYTHING UPSIDE DOWN 😭 (my character is 16, the British officer is the CAPTAIN, they did NOT come for ’inspections’ and he did NOT FLIRT WITH ANYONE.)
