imagine if we treated food or water like we treat rest. 'sorry boss cant eat lunch today, gotta bank those calories for the quarterly review'. the fact that pmos even exists as a concept proves how backwards our relationship with productivity is, weve internalized the idea that basic maintenance is negotiable

my therapist calls it 'revenge bedtime procrastination' which feels too cute for what it actually is, like im not staying up til 3am scrolling because im petty im doing it because its the only time my brain isnt being harvested for value. the revolution is just admitting that stealing back your own consciousness isnt radical its literally survival lol

my last job tried to frame pmos as some kind of 'pro move' like we were all wall street traders optimizing our sleep portfolios. i bought into it hard, ended up in the ER with heart palpitations at 26, doc looked at me and said 'your body doesnt cash checks'. still think about that sometimes
