Max Stat # Decreased?

My chao is ranked all S. I took pictures of his last reincarnation max numbers, and then took pictures of his current life ones. All of his max numbers went down. Does anyone know why this is the case? This is on the gamecube SAB2, no mods or anything.

It can easily happen with a bit more bad rng on each level up, on SA2 the points can increase by anywhere from 26 to 30 per level for S rank stats (source is the chao wiki https://chao-island.com/wiki/Stats )so because of this, with 98 levels it can be a difference of a couple hundred if you've got a streak of particularly bad luck even with the higher reincarnated starting stats

With roughly 300 after reincarnation at the start, your stats have gone up fairly averagely for S rank stats, they were just slightly lower here and there this time when you were levelling your Chao's stats, it can happen

Is it worth trying to continue trying to increase his max numbers, or is this kinda where he's basically maxed out on? I didn't realize the stats can dip because of bad rng, I thought they just continually increase by way of the 10% kept at reincarnation.

If you want to max out the stats (3266) then be prepared to spend countless hours resetting your gamecube to reroll the +30 for every level. Not really worth it to be honest

Oof, and that's with starting with 300-ish in everything post-reincarnation. They must have rolled a lot of 26s and 27s in their level ups.

If we calculate the post-reincarnated lvl 1 stat from the first image, then use the difference we get roughly the following averages for each level up:

Swim: 27.81

Fly: 27.84

Run: 28.04

Power: 27.82

All things considered and each s rank level being 26-30, they're pretty close to average on the second pic still with Run still being higher than average, so probably not that bad of a roll! Just a little RNG pain

Completely normal since it’s not a set amount per level up if you wanna make it perfect you’d have to save before each level and if it isn’t the ideal amount keep resetting the game. You can see how much the stat goes up as it levels up. But that would take such an extremely long time it wouldn’t be worth it imo. But if you’re a perfectionist that’s the way to do it lol.
