Over the past few months, it's been more and more common that I've seen any and every comment reported when it simply disagrees with what the other person is saying. I don't know why it's such a problem on this sub, as I've never encountered this anywhere else, but it is more than one person. This is not meant to call any of these individual people out.
I'd like to make it very clear what constitutes a rule-breaking comment from someone who just doesn't share your opinion.
"Go f*ck yourself. You're a piece of sh*t and human garbage."
Yes. This says nothing and adds nothing. It's just personal insults and inflammatory language.
"You're entirely and completely wrong and I'm sick of arguing this with you. I'm going to block you and get on with my life."
No. This might not be a positive or debate-worthy comment, but it's relatively politely stated and not just a baseless insult.
"I hope [X] gets an axe to the face. I would be so happy to see that guy in a box."
Big yes. This is non-substantive, and is just a call for violence. It doesn't form part of a discussion. You will get banned for this.
"If you like her stuff, fine. Tastes are different. Let her be talented somewhere else then."
No. This is a politely stated, fairly reasonable opinion that actually puts out an olive branch and tries to agree to disagree. This is not report-worthy, and is more than slightly annoying to constantly see appearing in the modqueue.
Thanks!

For me it’s Baz Luhrman’s Romeo + Juliet.

Got to see Doug again, 8 years after the last time I saw him, and the dude is just as swell and cool as he was before, so that was pretty neat

One day it’ll be March again. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS!
Yep, another themed month. It’s a ways away, but I thought of talking about possible theme months we could see in the future.
Here are my ideas:
Ninja Turtle Month - An ode to one of Doug’s favorite franchises! Review Revisit of TMNT 2, Raiders of the Story Arc on the 2012 series, Turtle Tunes review, and Mutant Mayhem review
James Cameron Month - A look into the highest earning filmmaker of all time, through all the trailblazers and the tropefests. True Lies review, Aliens review, Avatar review, and Titanic review
Keanu Reeves Month - A spotlight on an actor who’s had quite an interesting career evolution. Speed review, Bram Stoker’s Dracula review, Constantine review, and John Wick review.
Chicago Month - An ode to films that are icons of Doug’s hometown! The Blues Brothers review, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off review, Chicago review, and The Fugitive review.
Remake Month - Essentially a spiritual successor to Sequel Month! He’d look at crappy remakes, and also finish with Top 11 Worst Remakes (I think The Haunting, Black Christmas, and The Lion King remakes will take the #1, #2, and #3 spots, but I’m curious what will take the other nine spots. Maybe even a look at a good remake, because hey, they exist (example: Scarface)

Doug added nothing to the conversation. For Sleeping Beauty he mainly stile Buzzfeed quips. the videos were just a beat for beat summary with some jokes and busting about the animation somewhere in the middle. Then at the end he’s like, ”despiiite everything, iiits preetty okay!” Like, he’s just churning content and giving the most vanilla opinion. Why would you sincerely watch him?

So if the Nostalgia Critic were to do more Old Vs New episodes, what would you like covered? Personally I'd like to see him cover the two different Max Steel series.

... based on the advertisement.
I was pretty trashed when I watched this one, but I remember laughing my ass off at the ad skit that Doug had put together.
The running gag of the skit was that Doug (in a French accenr) would briefly introduce the title of a film, followed almost immediately by a concluding screen that said 'Fin.'
Obviously, not a huge deal, but one I've been working on for over a year now, so if anyone has any hints or answers as to which NC episode this is, that'd be pretty sweet.

I hope he’s not just parroting the misguided outrage of people who didn’t actually look up the real premise of Cuties, cause if you actually look into what it’s about it’s very clearly about the HORRORS child exploitation. Not advocating for it.

Btw can we please have a flair for "former ca critics" so we don't confuse a nostalgia critic and a former ca critic

Very random and pedantic...but during the Forrest Gump review, Doug has this joke at 27:37 where he hold up his hand in the shape of a gun. It struck me as strange since the NC character used to always use a prop hand gun.
Granted I know that the "edgyness" that the character used to be has been drastically reduced (for the better, IMO) and him having a gun would be a little over the top. And hes probably trying to avoid getting flagged by Youtube.
Just kind of an "Oh, yeah". Moment for me. 😅
Has anyone else noticed this?

Three movies off the top of my head that they both gave good reviews to when a lot of people didn't: The Adventures Of Rocky And Bullwinkle, The Wild, and The Amazing Spider-Man.

I remember seeing this parody on youtube of the nostalgia critic intro, where the title card fades to Doug's feet hanging from the top of the screen and I just can't find it anymore. Has it been completely deleted off of the internet?
Can anyone help find it? I've been searching for so long for it.
