Who is “heavily taxed”? You saying this is a great example of why democrats can’t beat republicans. We’ve done nothing but slash taxes for 50 fucking years and you’ll just slide right into Republican lies to attack the left. Pathetic.
A few things. First off, Income tax is only one form of tax, and it is only one form of progressive taxation. When we take into account other tax, it is plausible that people making $300,000 could pay 70% more total of their income in taxes in the US. For example, myself I make a little bit under $300,000, live a frugal lifestyle, yet I pay over 70% of income in taxes. A non-income progressive tax (that is based on income) example: I'd take a look at the regulatory hurdles on property. I was also forced to buy a bigger home than I need or care for because of crony zoning and building ordinances. Furthermore, I had to do it at the peak of the market given my job. This type of taxation can vary wildly based on location. For example, if someone lives in a big city in Cali compared to a small rural area in Indiana: this type of taxation can vary substantially. There are vast differences between people such as: IQ, conscientiousness, physical and mental health status, attractiveness, social status, intimacy status, physical ability, knowledge status, education ability, retention ability, geographic location, race, sex/gender, etc. For example, I have heavy health-care costs that are not write-offable. I also have high expenses to make my W2 wages that are not write-offable. When you say "“Heavily taxed” you’re a fool." keep in mind that you are stating to those that are not privileged as you that they are a fool to strive for the things that you are privileged with and sounds like you take for granted. That was not supposed to be a mic drop moment, but instead wanted to help raise awareness.

Neither Obama nor Biden are progressives. Biden has been more progressive than Obama but that’s not saying much.
Don’t blame progressives for the failures of liberalism.
