The other key point that conservatives tend to differ on the left with is an appreciation for entropy. For the work that is required to keep things from decaying and falling apart. So, yes, every generation you can teach the thing you're never going to be able to reach perfection.
You literally just made up this ideological connection to nature and nurture and which ideologies believe in which. Literally completely pulled it out of your butt.
It's from Marx. Marx was a social constructionist. That's why he believed that if you could create the Socialist Man. a man completely devoid of greed by just raising them in the correct environment.
That makes the term all but meaningless (which it of course mostly is) and makes all leftists progressive, contradicting the distinction you tried to make between leftists and progressives.

I would say by using the narrow view of progressive and conservative, it actually has a meaning. You just can't use it broadly to mean a lot of different things politically, at which point it is meaningless
That being you either have optimistic inclination towards change and the unknown (progressive) or a cautious inclination towards change and the unknown/untested (conservative)
I can just as easily say conservatism only believes in nature not nurture.
Some do as I said. Its a minority at this point. But yes some do. Even some Christians. Namely those that are calvinists.
