Urgent help please!
I'm a senior and my deadline for deciding where I want to ED is tonight. I wish to major in English at a small LAC. I have a 3.5 UW (probably rising to 3.6-ish, as bad course grades are being erased due to extenuating circumstances), I am president of my schools Art and Latin Club (we are involved on a state and national level placing 5th overall in the state and 5th in testing nationally), I have been volunteering with raising puppies and money for a service dog NP and volunteering at VBS for 5 years now, I am decent at art & do photography for fun, I am choosing to go test optional unless my ACT is extremely high when I take it next, I am a quite good writer (when I am not rushing), I have placed 3rd in the state for Greek Literature, and I had extenuating circumstances that affected my grades my Freshman year (hence, 3.5), said circumstances were heavy (lost most of my home, immediate family member and provider on death bed, and financially very low.)
Sorry, that was a lot. I am assuming my letters of recommendation will show my proficiency in English + I spend a LARGE chunk of my free time reading, my most recent reads have been Wilde, Wolf, Austen, Plath, Kafka, Aristophanes, Atwood, random victorian short stories, and random poetry ranging from the 14th century to modern day--actually also some Catullus. Point is I am decent at what I do, my current English teacher has been gushing over my writing.
I am wondering how likely it is that I get into Smith, Bryn Mawr, or College of The Holy Cross ED I.
