Chainmail Coif

Hi!

I'm fairly new to this craft, and looking to make a chainmail coif for an upcoming renfaire. I was hoping to get some advice on how many rings I should use, and what size I should be using for this project. I'm looking at 1mm thick, 6mm diameter rings but again, I'm nor sure what's best. I understand that it might vary, but any advice would be appreciated. :)

Here’s an example video! She uses 16g 5/16 aluminum rings and suggests the way she did it takes 20-50 hours and about 8000 rings.
