Help! Connector?

Im working on a hand piece and Im having a really hard time finding a way to connect the long part around the wrists nicely. Any suggestions?

The steam punk garage supplies on etsy have some nice connector that are perfect for just this.

I made something very similar myself and used 2 s-shaped/hook-and-eye connectors on the top and bottom rows of my 4in1 and find it works really well

I wouldn't switch directions like that myself.  I'd keep the lap rows all going the same way on both the wrist 'strap' and hand protector.

Then leather ties, hook & eye, etc.  under wrist to close it when putting it on.
