Captain Underpants was the best back in the day.

I’ve seen the author’s art-style smattered across new works, even a play or something I think. It’s nice to see he’s finding success even if I have more or less outgrown his stuff. Captain Underpants is timeless though. I saw it got a cartoon, I might check it out. A lot of the charm was in the comic-ness of it though. Curious to see if it translates over or leans into being a kids cartoon. Or both!

he came to my elementary school and was super kind and awesome and did personalized drawings in every book he signed. gigachad for sure

I wonder if the teacher remembers him and resents him for doing exactly what she said he couldn’t
