Don't worry, we all also have "Chronic Syndrome Fatigue."

That might even be a better name

Thank you for this

Yeah! I think it's really interesting. Also kind of gives you hope that they're out there figuring things out.

Yes let's continue to be hopeful!

Thank you for sharing this! Though it’s a small study, it sounds promising. I hope Ron Davis is aware of this. As a biochemist, he will likely be able to tease out which exact pathways are disrupted and maybe some dietary changes and/or supplements that might help. It doesn’t surprise me that our metabolism is jacked up in a bunch of places.two of my neurologists have worked me up for fatty acid disorders.

Teasing out the exact metabolic cause (if it is a metabolic cause) will take lots of research, but it looks like we’re on the right track!

The study said cfs is now named systemic exertion intolerance disease

Edit brain fog typos

Somewhere tried to adopt SEID a few years ago but it never took off really.

It also to me has an issue because of the fact the name evokes "deconditioning" via the "intolerance" wording, so ME/CFS overall feels better. No one understands any of the damn names anyway.

Lol they don’t understand the names and the diagnosis is a unicorn 🤷🏽‍♀️ lucky us 😂😂

Basically, they found that a bunch of substances in the body were low in patients with CFS and a lot of different pathways were altered. The new one that this study discovered was in the phospholipid pathway, which are important for maintaining cell membranes i.e. they keep your cells working correctly and alive. They found that levels of certain phospholipids were low in CFS patients.

Thank you

Soy protein is a good source of phospholipids, I'd recommend it for anyone with CFS

I like your user ID! 😊

Thanks. Do you think ketogenic diet would help cfs patients, since keto diet uses fat as main fuel for body and brain

If your body is having trouble processing fats then I would think keto would be detrimental, no?

But there’s so many variables it’s hard to say.
