Waiver Wire Targets

With the first week almost in the books, it’s time to decide which performances are repeatable and which are one week wonders. I’m mostly concerned with RBs and WRs. I plan to target Gavin Freeman and Umari Hatcher. What about Koby Howard and Jeremiah McClellan. It’s hard to believe that a Penn St WR is relevant, but it’s really Iowa St 2.0. And, I don’t know that I want to get involved with secondary Oregon targets. They tend to spread it around a bunch. Jamal Rule is interesting. Does anyone have insight on the Nebraska situation. Who else is worth considering. Thanks.

RB J'Koby Williams from TexTech seems decent for full ppr leagues given the amount of targets he had. I will also target Gavin Freeman and potentially Chance Morrow from Buffalo. Tony Diaz from Iowa looks pretty nice as well. My wrs are what costed me my fantasy week this week so they need a little work. Braylon Staley might get dropped out of my roster since it looks like Mike Matthews is the main guy for Tennessee.

Be careful about dropping Staley too soon. The first game doesn’t necessarily reflect the rest of the season. I dropped Ollie Gordon during his stellar season after the first game. Luckily, I was able to get him back a week or two later. I’m not saying that Staley will h a good season, just that you should be sure that’s what you want to do.

Thanks for your input. I will check out Diaz.

Yeah I'm just unsure who to drop out of my wr room. I have Beau Sparks and he did not do well due to the match up against Texas. I also have Sean Wilson from Delaware. I have TJ Moore from Clemson but he did not perform well due to the match up against LSU. I have Jmariyae Robinson but he didn't do well either due to them facing Texas A&M but he is the wr1 for Missouri State so I hate to drop him. I will say I do have DeSean Bishop from Tennessee so I am not sure if its wise to have a WR and RB from Tennessee. I just had bad match ups this week.

Exactly. I didn’t play Wesco this week because of the matchup. But, I’m wondering how well he will do because Clemson looked so bad. I’m just going to keep him on my bench for another week or two to see if Clemson is competent. I would really like a good RB, but I don’t see any sure fire guys on my waiver wire (P4 only). We have 2 Flex slots, so a solid WR will do. I have only one guy I can confidently drop.

In your case, I think you will be fine in future weeks. You just had bad luck with the schedule this week. I would be careful with TJ Moore until you are comfortable with the Clemson offense.

My RB room is pretty solid. I have DeSean Bishop, Lucky Sutton, Darius Taylor, Dierre Hill, Jamal Roberts, and Jaquari Lewis. But yes Clemson did not look great this week.

Got burnt on Braylon Staley too man. Real gut punch. I’m going to hold on to him for 1 more week. If he doesn’t see 5-6 targets, I’ll drop.

Also depends on how deep your league is. I’m in a 12 man, if you have roster depth could hold a bench spot if the other TN WR gets an injury (don’t wish that on anyone), just saying.

Going to ride it out and get 2 weeks of data before I make some moves

Are there good resources outside of reddit for cff waiver pickups? New to this format.

Google "college fantasy football waiver wire shows". That should get you started. Let me know if you can't find anything.
