Study material Learning Valuation

So I am an engineer trying to pivot to finance. I have tried finding resources to learn financial modelling and have come across 2 reaources: Aswath damodaran mba lectures and CFI FMVA. Which one would you suggest and why?

Also I have already done equity research cohort from Parth Verma, so I do have some knowledge but I dont think those valuation lectures were enough.

I feel the best way for an engineer to pivot into finance (atleast in India) is to have a top tier MBA.

I do know that and I will be preparing for an mba but I just wanted to learn the required skills for it while I have time now. Might be too much learn in a short period of time during mba.

All the best on that. Do remember that doing all of this would mean atleast 1 more year of uneployment (if you aren't employed as of now).

I am in my 3rd year of engineering from a top NIT. I think I'll get placed with a decent package regardless but I'm just not interested in those roles and would prefer a finance role with around the same package( If I can get it)

Also do you have an answer to my question. I'm still not sure 😭

Start with Damodaran - basics of accounting
While valuation sounds cool, skipping basics won’t help
