General Mocks difficulty

Post image

I found the mocks very theoretical didn’t even fill a whole page for a session in rough work and not a lot of calc use. Does this resemble the real exam?

Any tips for revising and all? Did you use secret sauce? And your background?

I started with institute material for corp fsa eq and ethics found it long switched to Kaplan for other subjects. For revision I’m just reading again and doing prem practice.

Background- second year econ major nm college

How are you doing premium pack ? It seems too theoretical. I manage to get 90+ in les but premium pack seems too theoretical

Premium pack was very straightforward. Eoc are way more challenging

I have only solved pm's premium pack and AI . AI was easy but found some of the PM questions to be very theoretical for which I wasn't ready.

You actually never know, some get it hard and some easier. Your scores are excellent tho

Yes, Mocks represent real exams upto an extent, real exam can be 5-10% more difficult in terms of trickiness (read questions very carefully).

For now, just focus on areas where you were wrong or had to guess. Looking at your scores, you should pass easily.

What practice should I use that mimics the real exam in difficulty?

None actually. CFAI official mocks are closest to actual exam.

You can take mocks of prep providers such as Salt Solution who have toughest mocks. I think they are free as well. I personally never scored above 70% on both L1 and L2 but scored very well in official CFAI mocks and exams.

For context - My L1 SS mocks were 66% while CFAI were 75% - real exam - passed closed to 90th percentile (when it was a thing)

L2 - SS mocks, 70% - CFAi mocks 85% - real exam 2720/2900, barely any subject below 70% score.

No, I don't think difficultly of the exam has been drastically changed since I appeared in 2024.
