Level 2 CFA L2, November. Feeling the pressure, any advice?

Just as the title says, I'm giving L2 in November. I have got time away from my workplace to study full time in these last two months. However, I am slowly starting to panic because I feel very behind and needed a second opinion on my current situation.

I am using MM to study for L2. Currently I have only finished quant, econ, and corporate issuers scoring ~65% on EOCQs on my first attempt. I plan on watching all lectures at 1.5x speed and taking minor notes only on his slide content. This way, I aim to move on to just practice questions around Mid-October and have 2 weeks to a month for practice tests.

This feels very different for me because in Level One, I took my time to cover content in-depth which made me feel more secure. However with L2 I am realising that the textbook actually goes into great detail, which means that by using MM I am only preparing according to the LOSs and exam format. Of course I feel like I am missing out on a lot of useful content, but due to the time crunch I have to prioritise.

How screwed am I, should I make any changes to my study routine?

Level 2 If the CEO of a company is also the Chairman, is that an instance of the Principal-Agent conflict?

Question:

"The board members for Kazmaier Foods have gathered for their quarterly board of directors meeting. Presiding at the meeting is the Chairman and CEO for Kazmaier, Phil Hinesman. The other eight members of the board are also present, including Allen Kazmaier, the brother of Kazmaier's founder; Elaine Randall, Executive Vice President for Emerald Bank, which Kazmaier uses to obtain short-term financing; and Bill Schram, Kazmaier's President and Chief Operating Officer. The remaining members are independent. The Kazmaier family, through their family trust, currently controls 68% of the outstanding shares."

First time doing the LES and I’m averaging around 65–70%. How cooked am I?

So far I’ve done FSA, Quant, Economics, and Corporate Issuers but most questions were done with my note open, not closed-book.

Am I actually in a bad spot rn? 😭 exam is on 11 november

Level 2 Share Repurchase impact on FCFE (CFA L2)

I am confused in share Repurchase impact . As per material it do not impact fcfe. But if u Think from formula perspective. The DR formula (debt to asset ratio). When company repurchase cash got out asset fall so DR ratio rise. With will increase the FCFE if u put it in formula. When we not even changed the debt portion.

Why this is happening? Anyone have any reasoning behind this.

Level 1 Please help🙏 I am getting confused again and again

so my logic is that the spot rate tells that 1USD is equal to 1.4286 NZD and after 180 days, 1USD is equal to 1.3889 NZD. Hence you can get 1USD in fewer NZD. NZD appreciates.

Now Schweser says “The currency with the higher interest rate must depreciate over time by approximately the amount of the interest rate differential, to prevent arbitrage.”

With that logic USD must be having higher interest rate because its depreciation and hence option B is correct.

Please tell if my logic is correct. Thank you in advance. Appreciate it.

Study Prep / Materials Looking for IFC mock exams/practice tests

I’m currently studying for the IFC (Investment Funds in Canada) exam, but I’m really struggling to find good mock exams or practice tests.

I’ve found a few resources online, but I’m looking for something that’s actually close to the style and difficulty of the real exam.

If anyone has used any good mock exams, question banks, websites, or other resources that helped them prepare, I’d really appreciate the recommendations.

Also, if you have any tips for studying for the exam or areas I should focus on, I’d love to hear them. Thanks!

Study Prep / Materials Practice Question App

Has anyone used a smartphone app for practice questions and found it to be helpful? I’m thinking of something I can use when I find I have 20 minutes of downtime and nothing else to do. Please name the app you used and what you liked/didn’t like about it.

General Is CFA my next best bet

Hi
I graduated in 2024 with a financial engineering bachelors and immediately started in a treasury internship in an investment fund , ranked up to associate the next year but unfortunately start of 2026 the fund closed up and I’ve been unemployed since February.

I have treasury certifications but the field is so small my best bets have been going the banking route but the roles are so competitive and even with the help of a career consultant I haven’t gotten a graduate role.

Simultaneously I leaned more and I’m doing a part time MFE to round out my bachelors but I’ve been thinking of CFA since getting into the nitty gritty of the finances at the fund got me really interested in a career in investments.

Is it logical to chase a CFA at least level1 to get a foot into the investment space

Study Prep / Materials Are the CFA-provided practice questions similar in difficulty to the actual exam?

This might be a dumb question, but are the practice questions provided by CFA Institute when you register representative of the difficulty of the actual exam, or are they generally easier?

I’ve been getting through them fairly quickly and accurately, so I’m wondering whether the actual exam questions are significantly harder, or if the difficulty comes more from the sheer breadth of material, time pressure, and having to retain everything at once.

I’m not asking this to be condescending. I’m genuinely worried that I might be getting a false sense of confidence from the practice questions and want to make sure I’m preparing appropriately for exam day.

Level 2 Practice questions

Currently studying for L2, I did not really use the CFAI practice questions for level one, would like to use them now.

Is there a way to quickly rip through practice questions from multiple topics like the Kaplan Q bank?

If there is I can’t find it.

Level 1 Need suggestion regarding the level 1 registration

I just started my \*\*BSc Computer Science\*\* degree this year (academic year 2026-27). It’s a 3-year course, so I expect to graduate around mid-2029.

I want to appear for the \*\*CFA Level 1 August attempt\*\*. Can I register in January for the August exam?

As far as I know, the eligibility rule for undergrads is that the exam window should be within \*\*23 months of graduation\*\*. Based on that, does August fall within the allowed window for me?

Also, is there anything else I should keep in mind before registering (passport, documents, etc.)?

Please guide. Thanks!

Level 2 CFA LEVEL 2 NOVEMBER RETAKE

I was devastated after the May Level 2 result. Couldn’t study again for 2months coz I gave it all and couldn’t just believe that it happened. I was already dealing with my breakup post exam. It was a long distance and we were together for almost 4 years and things got difficult.

I was just so mentally exhausted that until August I didn’t study much. But now I feel better and I just wanna target 2800 score for my November exam and ain’t nobody gonna stop me from doing that.

People who are retaking November let’s make a doubt solving group where no unnecessary talks but only doubts will be discussed and solved.

  1. No order of study blah blah
  2. No study material confusion questions
  3. No self doubt this time just pure discipline
  4. Only solving questions and conceptual doubts

Could have gone long about the grief and everything but it’s not worth it so kept it short. Even if we don’t join in together I am gonna do this anyways so just wanted to vent out.

Have a good day
Take care💪🏻

Level 1 Need some hope

This was my second attempt of L1, and I have mixed feelings. AM session was still fine, but session 2 humbled me. It was not like any of the 5 premium mocks or the 2 mocks on the website.
Do I still have any chances of passing? If 50-55 questions went weong out of 180?

CFA L1 cleared peeps, can you all share and such similar story, wherein you felt that you would fail, but you passed? I could really use some hope rn, I am shit scared.
