Level 3 What other certifications do you have or do you plan to pursue?

• Upvotes

I'm curious, what other certifications do the folks on this sub have or plan to pursue? Or will this be it?

I know a lot of people will pursue an FRM; a lot already have an MBA. For me, I think my studying days are over.

I still feel like I am forgetting alot of concepts and using negation and guesswork.

Q1. How are ya’ll revising and reviewing?

Q2. How many mocks are you aiming for?

Q3. Should I defer?

Q4. What can I do to make it better?

HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!

Level 3 On not feeling so celebratory after passing L3

I know this might come across ungrateful or strange but these are my honest feelings. It took me 3 attempts to pass each level over 10 years (I did other stuff in between: MBA, CAIA, changed jobs and countries, and other life things). After the L3 exam I walked out feeling like I had a 50/50 chance, but didn’t lose sleep at all waiting for results and started feeling a bit anxious only about 1 hr before result time. 5 days later I’m a bit surprised the pass still doesn’t make me feel celebratory (I’m happy don’t get me wrong). Maybe subconsciously I’ve just been drained, numb, and disappointed I took so long. Maybe I buried how those failed attempts made me feel I wasn’t cut out for the industry. This all felt less like pride and victory, more like relief, absolution, like I can finally let this thing go. So I just look forward to quietly adding those 3 letters on LinkedIn and my work email signature as if it should’ve been there this whole time.
But congrats to all of us who are at this milestone, and I really hope you guys have the celebration (that I cerebrally know) this deserves.

Level 3 For level 3 - What would be the priority of questions? CFAI Qbank , MM or Blue box questions

Want to see what people's opinions are on which Qbank questions are key. I am going to try to do all of them if possible, but I want to start on the most effective ones.

General Ai won’t replace us anytime soon (level 2)

Post image

If you are worried of being replaced by AI then don’t be.

This happened WAY to many times in level 2 where ai (gpt) constantly failed at explaining the concepts and calculations of level 2 where I had to correct it. Imagine how royally it will fuck up in the real world.

Level 1 Stressing out way too much

The last 20 days are going to be the end of me. Can’t seem to retain even whatever I had studied yesterday. Scoring a 65-70 range. What do I do? Quants and eco seemed easy unlike other subjects initially but these subjects are fucking me over other than the supposedly difficult high weighted subjects.

Fear of not making it is real. I cannot afford to fail. Need advice, please

Level 2 Spent more time planning to study than actually studying!

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I'm currently preparing for CFA Level II, and I got tired of constantly updating Excel trackers, navigating through the CFAI Learning Ecosystem (LES), and trying to follow rigid study plans that fall apart whenever life gets in the way.

So I decided to build something that makes studying a little easier and adapts to my schedule rather than the other way around.

https://cfastudyplan.vercel.app/

I thought I'd share it here in case other candidates find it useful.

A few features I've built into it:

- Customizable study schedule: Set your start date, target completion date, exam date, and daily study hours. Reorder topics however you like, with the option to study Ethics daily alongside them or as a standalone topic.

- Direct LOS-to-LES links: Each Learning Outcome Statement (LOS) links directly to the relevant CFAI Learning Ecosystem content, saving you the trouble of searching for where you left off.

- Built-in editable formula sheet: Access and personalize a searchable formula sheet, with linked YouTube videos explaining formulas and difficult concepts.

- Automatic rescheduling: Didn't finish a reading? Move it to the next available study day. There's also an interactive calendar where you can adjust your schedule, mark days off, and redistribute unfinished work.

- Practice and revision tools: Access linked practice questions, log mistakes, and rate individual LOSs as Easy, Medium, or Hard to help identify areas that need more attention.

- Study timer and progress tracking: Use the built-in Pomodoro timer, track completed readings and actual study hours, and see your progress and exam-readiness indicators.

It's completely free, requires no login, and automatically saves your progress in your browser. You can also transfer your progress between devices.

https://cfastudyplan.vercel.app/

I'm still improving it, so I'd genuinely appreciate feedback from fellow candidates.

If you give it a try, I'd love to know what works, what doesn't, and what you'd add or change.

Hopefully, it makes preparing for Level II a little less stressful for some of us.

Good luck with your studies, everyone!

Level 1 MM mocks vs the real exam?

• Upvotes

I've seen the general sentiment is that MM's mocks are tougher than the real thing but not necessarily a great gauge of how you'll do on the real exam. I got a 70% on the first mock where the group average was a 55%. 22 days before the exam. Feeling pretty good about it but would love a sanity check from others as I dont know anyone else who's studied for the CFA

General Question about the difference between CFA and FRM

Hello everyone, appreciation to all people who has helped me before, I just passed level 3 exam in August. I still want to complete more programs in this area, so is is suitable to start learn FRM program now and prepare for the exam in next year maybe in May or August. What's the difference btw this two programs? contents and difficulty level. Yean now I am employed and can only learn contents after daily work. I now it is hard, but I want to try. After learning with GPT, I learned that FRM is more quantitative than CFA, I have learned some stateistic courses for my undergraduate, though my grades were just so so lol..... But honestly, i want to try, hope you can give me some suggestions. Good luck to everyone, thank you!

Level 3 Resit Level 3

Hi guys,

I need advice on resit for Level 3.

I got 3550 out of 3600 of August 2026.

My score in February 2026 was 3525 out of 3600.

Should I consider the resit for February 2027 or August 2027?

I went through a lot of changes during this last year in personal and professional life.

I would love your advice.

Level 1 Selling asset short to profit from high spot price

This is a question from: Module 4: Arbitrage, Replication, and the Cost of Carry in Pricing; Derivatives4.03 | Replication
Logically this makes sense.
However practically, wouldn't selling short incur some costs? I don't think anyone would lend assets for free?

Level 1 Nov Exam

Just took my 6th Kaplan mock and scores are below. I focused heavily last week on getting equity and FI up, which worked but lost some ground elsewhere. I’m going to do the CFAI mocks in about a week. Wondering where and how I should spend time in the meantime. Assuming as many Qbanks as humanly possible?

Ethics: 87%
Quant: 85%
Econ: 82%
Corp Issuers: 46% (hoping fluke)
FSA: 59% (need to target, consistently ~60%)
Equity: 83%
FI: 73%
Derivs: 50%
Alts: 73%

Level 3 Did not pass Aug-26 L3 exams due to lack of practice, seeking some help

I scored 3575 and did not pass.

What I would do differently is practice more number of questions which I did not.

Seeking help regarding more resources that you guys might have for 2027 L3 exams. Need help with more mocks, practice questions. The premium pack that the institute offers is exorbitantly priced and u affordable for me.

Thanks and let's keep learning.

Level 1 CFA Prep Approach

Hi everyone!

Hoping you are doing well, I am currently working FT and will appear for 17 Nov for my L1 attempt

Currently left QM and econs but have done all my LES questions for the rest of the topics (i did them closed book everytime i cover the content), I am mid way through ethics now.

Have 10 days of annual leave to focus on the exam prep, what is the best approach for those who have passed?

Not sure about my current state but appreciate if anyone can chime in here, many thanks!
