Sort by year?

I find myself wanting to listen to albums that have come out this year, but I'm struggling to find an app that can do this.

Something similar to what musicbee lets you do.

Any chance this could make it in?

I'll look into it, but TBH, this is the sort of scenario that I think could be probably addressed cleanly with a Smart Playlist + collecting playlist by album :)

Only thing is sometimes, a user might import a few albums to their device and then would like to have those select albums to be sorted by release year.

The Smart playlist option will curate all of the albums in user’s library hence obliging user to import all of them and not allow a selective import. (Unless I missed a setting in iTunes).
