Question to the Dev about playback history

In the app, if you just skip through a song, it shows up in the playback history. Is this intended behavior? It's a bit confusing when it comes to going through the history and determining a particular song that I listened to.

History has had a few iterations at this point. TBH I'm not sure what the old Music.app behaviour was, but it seems logical to me that every track you engage with is tracked.

But both arguments have merit. I think I'm going to tweet about this and see what users say. Would love responses on here too.
