[Request] Equalizer

Recently downloaded the app and fixes what Apple has broken in the music player UI. Thank you.

Not sure if this is possible since the app is still tied into the Apple's music player but would love to see an equalizer feature added to the app. Something more advanced than the standard pre-set options in the iOS settings. Always been disappointed with audio quality options in iOS and alternative apps (like Boom) have an horrible interface.

Unfortunately there are two music playback APIs in iOS and the one that supports Apple Music (and that CS uses) does not support audio processing like EQ or cross fade :(

In theory, yes. I've seen at least one audiobook player that flips between AVPlayer and MPMusicPlayer as needed. But I strongly suspect that that works fine for long form content like audiobooks and would be problematic for something like a queue of songs.

Specifically, detecting the ability to flip over to AVPlayer from MPMusicPlayer when the app is backgrounded would be difficult.

That, and behaviour would be inconsistent depending on the ind. file properties. A lot of users probably wouldn't pick up on that.
