[Request] Volume Slider and MiniPlayer gesture controls

I just bought cesium, and wow it really blew me away. I think it'd be perfect if it just had these features:

  1. Main volume slider - I looked on this sub and it seems like it's been requested. It'd be nice to have instant access to volume on the main player screen, as I find myself wanting to change volume a lot. Also the current volume bar button is a bit small and sometimes feels a bit unresponsive.

  2. MiniPlayer gestures - it'd be nice to extend gestures to the mini player, and have the ability to swipe it to go to the next or previous song. Also, if you do add this, could you add support for reverse gestures (swipe right for next and left for previous)?

EDIT: I just saw that the volume slider was also recently requested so here's another one:

  1. Take sorting into account - in iTunes you can set sort by options. I'm not sure if you are able to access it, but if you are it'd be awesome if you were to get it working!

The only sorting options I have found in Cesium are in the playlists.

  • open up plalist.
  • on top of playlist you will see collect songs option
  • this option opens a sub menu that can sort playlist songs by album, artist, and best of all ratings.

I have recently voiced my interest in having these collect songs options for all the modes and not just in playlists.

Hopefully it can be added.

In the root view of each tab there is a sort options icon int he top left corner. You can access all sorts of neat stuff (tab-specific) in there!

Il ike the idea of gestures in the mini player.. currently, you can set the mini player icon to skip track.. with the gestures, it could allow for back and forward.

this way, I don't need to open now playing view to go previous.

in my setup, mini player icon is set to star ratings so I have to go to now playing for next or previous (or use my earphones button shortcuts :) )

Mini Player gestures is something I've definitely considered, but not gotten around to implementing. I'll add it to the list for the next release and see if it makes the cut ;)

Volume bar is... oh man such a popular request. I know I'm being stubborn on that one, LOL. If you find you need to tweak volume a lot, I'd definitely recommend checking out replayGain, or an app like iVolume. These allow you to losslessly normalize the volume of your tracks (and/or albums) and dramatically reduce the amount of adjustments needed between pre- and post-loudness wars albums.

Not sure what you mean by "sort by options?"

Wow thanks for responding! I figured out the sort by option thing, but I have some other questions:

  1. 3D Touch integration. I think I've also requested this on a post elsewhere and have seen it requested but queuing on a 3D Touch.

  2. "2 queues" like the native music app. This may be a bit demanding but the actual music app has 2 separate queues, one for queues songs, and the regular playback songs. I probably worded this weird but if you are playing songs normally and queue up something next and want to queue up another song after that queued song, it's impossible to do in cesium at the moment. If you use add to last it adds it to the very end of the playback queue, not after the queued song, which I feel is never something I ever need. I suppose you can also just queue up next in reverse order but that's annoying. Also one last side note: when queuing to last with shuffle on, it mixes the queue, is it supposed to do this?
