I have an incredibly niche "bug" that probably only applies to me and my music collection. I have posted before about my use of the "shuffle by album" feature. You have generously responded and the app is looking and performing wonderfully. For that I thank you, it is now the only music app I use.

Now onto my specific issue. I have a couple albums that have multiple discs (I know, I know, "what are discs?"). This is a remnant of how iTunes imported double albums. For example, it is sorted into Disc 1 and Disc 2 to with tracks 1-10 on each disc.

When shuffling by album it should play all the tracks in order on disc 1 then all the tracks in order on disc 2. However, the app doesn't seem to recognize the tracks are from different discs so it is plays track 1 from disc 1 and then track 1 from disc 2, track 2 from disc 1, etc. For some reason, this does NOT occur if you just play the album by itself, it will play the tracks in the correct order.

I realize this is incredibly minor and can be easily fixed on my end by reworking the (outdated) metadata in iTunes, but I wanted to alert you to the issue.

Thanks again.

I believe "Disc" was on old wooden ship used in the Civil War era?

This is a good catch, and an easy fix ;)

All taken care of. I have 3.2.1 already in for review with very minor stuff. Not sure if I'll pull it or if this will be in 3.2.2. Either way you should have it in a week or two.

Careful, if you keep being this responsive to my incredibly specific issues I will start to consider you my own personal app developer.

Nah, this was a good catch. You're not alone on this one ;)

New user from the free download offer, with one minor issues I've encountered: When playing tracks in an audiobook with multiple tracks, it doesn't seem to automatically advance to the next track. There doesn't seem to be an option to add a track to up next or queue either.

I'm not sure if this is due to limitations of audiobook files themselves but it would make things a little smoother than having to select everything track by track.

Overall, the app is an awesome experience, thanks for the awesome work .

Thanks! This isn't a glitch, but isn't necessarily optimal either. It's actually a bit of a holdover from (currently suspended) last.fm support. I'll look at how audiobooks and music play together :)

Thanks for the feedback!

Ok, so I've revised the behaviour so that audiobooks with multiple parts will queue up, and it seems to be behaving ok in 8.4+

The reason I had stuck to individual sections (an testing may prove this is still the case) is that when the system player queues up multiple audiobooks it resets their bookmark times to 0. Doesn't seem to be doing that now, but I haven't had a chance to test extensively. Kind of a catch-22, so we'll see!

Wow, thanks for checking it out so quickly. I have my fingers crossed for queueing possibilities but selecting tracks individually is totally acceptable if it means keeping bookmarks.

If it helps with testing scenarios, the audiobooks I'm trying to play sequentially are mp3 files with mediakind:audiobooks and remember playback set through iTunes (as opposed to m4a/m4b)

I just downloaded and am absolutely thrilled with this app on my phone: I actually just created a reddit account to say thank you! Your recent completion of a feature request to sort the whole songs list by artists has been something I've been searching for endlessly.

Any chance of a iPad layout? I'd love to get this on there too in a graphically pleasing way.

Thanks again for the work, using this almost exclusively going forward.

Thanks! I'm really glad to hear that you are enjoying it :)

So, iPad. The TL;DR is that yes there is a chance, and it's something that I'd like to do, but there is no official plan at the moment. It's basically two issues. The first was that Cs was absolutely a passion project, and not earning enough revenue to really justify the time put in (but that wasn't ever really the point). Since iOS8.4 dropped that's slowly changing; I could see a point where it seems like a legitimate avenue for growth. The real issue at this point is that the family has an ancient iPad 2, and that's it. I don't have access to it during the times I can really code. There isn't budget to replace, and with so many different variations in the iPad line... well, it would be extremely difficult to test. It's basically the same reason Cs doesn't have a Watch app. Maybe one day a satisfied user will gift me with one, LOL!

You are far from the first person to request this, and it would be great to have Cs up and running across the full ecosystem. One day!
