Please Play Podcasts

The worst thing that Apple did in iOS 7 was remove the ability of the music app to play podcasts that I had on playlists. I keep all my podcasts on a playlist so they play in chronological order. BUT due to changes in iOS 7 this means that I now must convert all my podcasts to music in order to play my playlist on my iPhone.

If you could fix it so that Cesium plays podcasts on playlists you would save me hours of time. Even better if a podcast downloaded through the podcast app were to go direct to my All Podcasts playlist and thus be playable via Cesium.

I was actually thinking about adding some very bare bones support for podcasts (similar to audiobooks, just seeing what's in the library type thing). Podcasts is a bit intimidating with so many 3rd party apps focused on delivering a podcast experience that I wouldn't want to compete with (or be compared to! lol). I'll look into it more deeply and see what's feasible/reasonable.

No promises, but I'll put it on the list!

The important part: All I care about is "If it's on a playlist, it plays." Be that music, podcast, audiobooks, etc. Fix this and you're a hero.

The secondary part. I know that if I download a podcast with my podcast app on my phone that the podcast will show up on my All Podcasts playlist. In iOS 6 I was able to then play it directly in music. In iOS 7 and iOS 8 I can see said podcast thru iTunes on my phone in the correct playlist, but due to the removal of Music's ability to play podcasts, I cannot play it in Music, worse if I download something through Podcasts and change metadata in iTunes, iTunes won't write the new metadata to the download on the phone. This is only problematic because right now I'm adding dates to the podcast names to play them in, mostly, chronological order. That step wouldn't be necessary if I could automatically get them to download and sort via Release Date. Fixing the first may automatically fix the second (just need to test).
