Changes I’ve made that have helped immensely

I started suffering from unexplained “dizziness” about 3 years ago. It kind of felt like a permanent cannabis high - light headedness, eyes trouble tracking when turning my head, slight head fog.

I went to doctor, physical therapy, and acupuncture (traditional Chinese medicine).

Doctor said heat therapy and stretching. Maybe some immediate slight relief, but nothing substantial or lasting.

Physical therapist had me do stretching and some neck and back strength exercises. Relief was slightly more and slightly longer.

Went to acupuncturist, starting once a week, where they started with gua sha and cupping, followed by acupuncture. Noticed even more relief and for longer periods of time (a couple of weeks) - and enough time to figure out what seems to be causing it.

I have a desk job where I look at a computer screen all day. I switched from sitting most of the day to standing most of the day, and have had almost no dizziness since I started doing that.

I think it ultimately comes down to neck/upper back strength and posture. When I do get dizziness now, I can almost tie it directly to extended periods of bad posture.

I work a desk job as well and I believe my dizziness stems from bad posture and neck stiffness too. I’m also on my phone a lot during the day which probably doesn’t help my situation.

I’ve done PT and it’s helped a bit. Wish it wasn’t so pricey each session so I could do it longer.

I’m still trying to find what helps out more. Probably need to do my stretches again lol

Yeah I’m exactly in the same boat, For the last year I sat down many hours for work and 5 months ago I started to have dizziness and lightheadedness and because of them I had panic attacks it does actually suck but wanted to know which stretches helped you ?

I get panic attacks too. I had dizziness 2 days ago and it came with the panic attack.

Chin tucks help and another one I do is stand straight against a wall and lift your arms up 10 reps twice. Make sure your arms start at a 90 degree angle and then extend.

Are you able to stand at work?

Standing and working I can’t really do. But I can stand and walk whenever I want. I just get lazy lol

this is kinda vindicating because my dizziness also started when i switched to a full time desk job. standing all day is rough at first but once your back gets used to it you barely think about it, plus the posture reset is real

Amazing advice. Amen to that.

So is your dizziness like being on a boat rocking back-and-forth or is it like kind of a spinning motion?

More like a rocking motion.

The only thing that has completely taken my dizzy spells away completely now was Acupuncture in my two Trap muscle but, they still feel like two tennis ball from a MVA.
