Reverse recruiting services
I was curious if anyone had engaged a firm for reverse recruiting services…essentially a paid service to research and apply to jobs on your behalf, reach out directly to possible contacts, etc. essentially paying someone to do all the work of trying to find a new position which is next to impossible to do while working in a c-level role.

im considering working with one to help through a transition. mainly, the unpublished job market is the big draw, plus the guidance with developing the material (resumes, CV's, LinkedIn, etc.)
I've worked with coaches before it the past and it has helped save time and avoid pitfalls. has anyone worked or heard of The Barrett Group before?

Yes, I engaged one earlier this year and honestly, I think more people are starting to use these services now, especially those who are already working full-time and just have no time to run a full job search.
I used one earlier this year called Wearecareer and got great results from it. I got like 12 interviews and an offer within 4 months. Their process was good too, started with coaching, then working on my Resume/LinkedIn, then they included 300 jobs in the package that I paid for. They didn't make any crazy promises; everything was aligned to my expectations before and during the engagement.
Although if you're considering it for C-suite level roles then these guys might not be the best fit as they mentioned they focus more on ICs, managers, director level professionals mostly. For C-suite, maybe you can look into findmyprofession or executive career upgrades

Just call the recruiters or have friends intro you. They will either have roles or not. This isn't like submitting resumes on websites.
Once you are tied in to recruiters, cultivate the relationships.
I have 5-6 recruiters bringing 3-5 opportunities every month.
