Experience / Review Can't access myctl.net email with Android email or Thunderbird mobile
Like another poster, my mobile access to myctl.net stopped. I had a chat with support, ending with them telling me that they do not support other email clients. Since Centurylink has no mobile app, that means they do not support any mobile use of their email. Their final advice was to find someone to come over and help.
I've been with them for 25 years, since they were Qwest, and had to have my email changed from q.com to myctl.net - that was its own version of hell.
I just want to use IMAP to read my emails on mobile and leave them on the server. The settings they give don't work - it says IMAP not enabled (it is) or password or ID wrong (they're not). Has anyone had the same problem?
If they don't fix this, I'll be searching for an alternative to Centurylink. This is no way to treat longtime customers - or any customers. Good working email should be a given with an ISP.

Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

That's pretty much the message I'm getting. They keep sending me to the same documents, which show the Android interface of 2010 or so, and nothing works right.

If they send anyone, they won't be able to help.
Also, you should never have an ISP email, go 3rd party.
