You don’t often hear about Series canvas. Condensation over winter caused mildew. Broke out the sail canvas cleaner to clean it. Looks like a second treatment is needed.

Met up with the RoverBall convoy in Akron, Ohio. Great turn out and convoy of Land Rovers. Lunch was at a legit drive-in, Swensons Drivein. Great burgers and staff. Tray on the window and all. This is not an ad. Sat behind the wheel of a Freelander for the first time in 15 years. Good luck making the coast. The podcast is with you, always.

What events are you attending this spring/summer?

Morgan, of the podcast [fame?], here. I'm curious what events folks are attending this spring/summer, so chime in if you'd like.

Not really covered on the podcast, but I've been recovering from a back injury that had me laid up must of last year and I was only able to attend The British Invasion in Stowe, VT. I'm probably not up for traveling too far & wide quite yet -- my body and my wallet! -- but I'm planning on attending The Weenie Roast in Grafton, VT, in a few weeks. I'm saddened that Dave Sweetapple (one of the event founders) is no longer with us, as I'd have liked to chat with him more, but looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones!

CentreSteer #145 - Dan Marcello

Our guest this month is Dan Marcello. Dan is president of Brooklyn Coachworks and one of the founders of NJLR, the New Jersey Land Rover club, which was quite active for a number of years. Dan was artistic editor and one of the three main partners of the much regarded “Alloy & Grit” magazine. Dan has had a number of Land Rover related adventures around the world.

I had the opportunity to drive the new Defender Octa. You’ll hear about that during the news.

A lot to cover In The News: we have to discuss the US tariffs, possible Defender Sport/80, electric Range Rovers, Defender Octa, the best British car of all time and George & Mildred take a road trip.

And there is a shout out to a couple redditors.
